This position reports to the DC General Manager 

This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a proven track record in outbound management. The ideal candidate will have experience in optimizing processes, managing teams, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods.

Your responsibilities can include:

• Oversee all outbound logistics operations, including order processing, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Ensure that all outbound shipments are processed accurately and delivered on time.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize outbound logistics processes, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, inventory management, and customer service, to streamline operations and enhance overall supply chain performance.
• Utilize technology and automation to improve accuracy and efficiency in outbound operations.
• Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to outbound shipments, working closely with the customer service team.
• Maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards, including health and safety, environmental, and transportation regulations.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
• Lead and manage the outbound logistics team, including supervisors, coordinators, and warehouse staff.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in outbound management within the logistics industry.
• Attention to detail; Process optimisation; results oriented; Business acumen

Attributes required :

• Proven track record of successfully managing outbound logistics operations.
• Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain processes, including order fulfillment, transportation, and distribution.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Proficiency in logistics software and technology, including warehouse management systems and transportation management systems

Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards, including health and safety, environmental, and transportation regulations.
