The Challenge

The EMEA GL Accountant is a key pillar of the EMEA Finance organization, ensuring the financial integrity, compliance, and operational efficiency of T2 and it subsidiaries in the EMEA region. This role is primarily focused on accounting and reporting for 7 entities including monthly consolidation and analysis of financials, SOX/Blackline compliance, preparation of reporting and tax packs, audit support, process optimization, and stakeholder collaboration.

 

What You’ll Take On

 

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Prepare and post required monthly GL entries for respective EMEA entities in line with Local and US GAAP as well as Internal reporting
  • Load Trial Balances for entities managed outside of JDE
  • Review and validate reporting by BU and Title partnering with Financial controller
  • Prepare and post any consolidation adjustments or reclasses in JDE as required
  • Validate final TB by territory and integrity between systems
  • Assist for ensuring that system integrity reports are reviewed and any issues highlighted to manager
  • Prepare monthly consolidated P&L, Balance Sheet and various reporting schedules for respective EMEA entities
  • Prepare Reporting tasks and reconciliations in Blackline with Financial analyst:
    • Responsible to ensure that respective EMEA entities monthly reporting submissions are complete and accurate
    • Manage Blackline tasks and recs for relevant respective EMEA Entities
    • Optimize and Standardize respective EMEA entities blackline reporting

 

  • Assist in Audit preparation for respective EMEA entities
  • Assist in the preparation of the reporting timetables for respective EMEA Entities and communication to the relevant stakeholders
  • Monitor the Interco process for respective EMEA Entities 
  • Manage Fixed Asset for respective EMEA Entities
  • Help find efficiencies to streamline reporting processes
  • Help with reforecast when required
  • Continuous development of ‘robust processes’ and reporting to ensure all possible data entry errors are kept to an absolute minimum
  • Help develop the creation of appropriate working instructions for all core business functions from within the team
  • Build relationships with the appropriate stakeholders at our EMEA and US Entities becoming a ‘go to’ point of contact for each.  Help support their information requirements

 

Systems:

  • Gain understanding of T2 financial systems, JD Edwards, Blackline , Hyperion, Hyperion Planning, Oracle BI
  • Integrities between Hyperion and JD Edwards
  • Flag systems’ issues early and follow through to resolution
  • Work within the team to push through system changes to enhance systems for reporting, planning and modelling requirements

 

Compliance, Guidance & Audit:

  • Ensure compliance with all local and US GAAP regulations
  • Knowledge of our EMEA structure and operations
  • Ensure SOX procedures are adhered to
  • Work with Manager to implement and maintain SOX controls and other corporate governance
  • Ensure compliance with Take Two’s accounting policies and procedures
  • Liaise with both Internal and External auditors – Participate to audits

 

Other:

  • Assist Manager in successful coordination, training, implementation, testing and reconciliation of chosen projects
  • Provide cover for team members
  • Generate ad-hoc reporting and analysis

 

 

What You Bring 

  • Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant with relevant experience and advanced knowledge of financial processes
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel functionalities and formula (e.g., pivot table, SUMIF/SUMIFS/VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP formulas, etc.)
  • Strong ERP and BI systems background
  • Ability to deliver accurately, work under pressure within tight deadlines and flexibility with time zone differences
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Technically competent in Local and US GAAP reporting and general understand of SOX compliance for a public company
  • Ambitious, proactive, self-starter with ability to grow in this role within the Accounting Group and add value to the business and the accounting organization
  • Commercially aware, with an appreciation of key business risks
  • Ability to pulling data from systems and be proficient at analysing numbers
  • Attention to detail and efficient time-management and organizational skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills and is able to draw high-level business conclusions and trends from detailed financial and statistical data
  • Confident preparing and presenting results to a senior management team, taking feedback and communicating complex analyses in an easy to understand format to sales and finance leads and the executive teams throughout the business
  • Ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with key stakeholders in Europe and the US
  • Knowledge with one or more of the following systems preferred: JD Edwards, Hyperion, Essbase, Oracle Business Intelligence, Blackline
  • Fluent in French and English
