Senior QA Analyst/Engineer
Job Description
Grassroots Analytics is seeking a Senior QA Analyst/Engineer to join our team of experts and provide top-tier, individualized fundraising guidance directly to our clients. The QA Engineer/Analyst will collaborate closely with the Directors of Engineering and Product to support the ongoing testing of our SaaS platform.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about getting in on the ground floor of a new SaaS platform, working with engineering, product and design to build out test plans, building out a framework for QA testing for the current plus future software needs and who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
Responsibilities
Leading and defining the QA process with Engineering and Product (30%)
- Define how the QA process can best be applied within the SDLC
- Refine QA processes, tooling, and standards over time while executing
Planning & designing QA Tests (30%)
- Support the team in the planning process by helping to design and document QA testing for new features
- Translate requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria into test cases and test plans
Write and Executing QA Tests (30%)
- Write repeatable test cases that can be run on a daily cadence
- Run manual functional, regression, and smoke tests across features to support ongoing development
- Perform cross-browser, and responsive testing
- Validate integrations, APIs, webhooks, and third-party connections
Release Support (10%)
- Sign off on release readiness and support staging/UAT and production verification
- Define test scope, coverage, and priorities for each release
- Help manage test data and test environments

Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the QA Engineer/Analyst position would have:
Basic Qualifications:
- 6 or more years of prior relevant experience as a QA Engineer and/or Analyst
- Experience leading software quality assurance with a focus on automation testing
- Experience with creation, authoring, execution and documentation of test cases/result sets for software products in an agile cadence
- Familiarity in writing efficient and scalable test scripts.
- Direct experience with software performance testing practices
- Experience working/testing within Commercial Cloud Platforms (ex: GCP)
- Demonstrated ability to work within collaborative environment to execute test cases complimentary to development efforts
Preferred Qualifications:
- Programming skills in languages such as Javascript or Python to enable the ability to write efficient and scalable test scripts
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub) and their integration with automated tests
- Direct experience with GCP environments
Compensation
The expected salary range for this position is $110,000-$130,000. This role also includes a competitive benefits package. This is a full-time, in-office position based in our Chinatown office at 806 7th St NW, Washington, DC 20001.
