The Role 

As an ESG Intern, you will support the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives across the business. You will gain hands-on experience in ESG reporting, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration, while contributing to projects that drive real impact. This role will primarily focus on ESG data and will begin in early July 2026. It is an excellent opportunity to build expertise in sustainability within a global and complex organization.

 

Key Responsibilities 

• Support ESG data collection, validation, analysis, and reporting across key sustainability metrics (e.g., energy, waste, people data)  

• Assist in preparing sustainability reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders  

• Contribute to ESG projects and initiatives across departments (e.g., operations, HR, supply chain)  

• Conduct research on ESG trends, regulations, and best practices  

• Support the development of internal communications related to sustainability  

• Help track progress against ESG targets and KPIs  

• Assist in stakeholder engagement and coordination of ESG-related activities  

 

Who You Are 

• Currently pursuing an HBO, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, Economics, or a related field  

• Strong interest in sustainability, ESG, or corporate responsibility  

• An analytical mindset with the ability to work with data  

• Familiarity with ESG frameworks (e.g., GRI, CSRD, or similar) is a plus  

• Proficiency in English; Dutch is a big plus

De rol

Belangrijkste verantwoordelijkheden 

• Ondersteunen bij het verzamelen, valideren, analyseren en rapporteren van ESG-data (bijv. energie, afval, personeelsdata)  

• Assisteren bij het opstellen van duurzaamheidsrapportages en presentaties voor interne en externe stakeholders  

• Bijdragen aan ESG-projecten en initiatieven binnen verschillende afdelingen (bijv. operations, HR, supply chain)  

• Onderzoek doen naar ESG-trends, regelgeving en best practices  

• Ondersteunen bij interne communicatie rondom duurzaamheid  

• Helpen bij het monitoren van voortgang ten opzichte van ESG-doelstellingen en KPI’s  

• Ondersteunen bij stakeholdermanagement en coördinatie van ESG-activiteiten  

 

Wie ben jij 

• Je volgt momenteel een HBO-, bachelor- of masteropleiding in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Bedrijfskunde, Economie of een vergelijkbare richting  

• Sterke interesse in duurzaamheid, ESG of maatschappelijk verantwoord ondernemen  

• Analytisch ingesteld en comfortabel met data  

• Kennis van ESG-frameworks (zoals GRI, CSRD of vergelijkbaar) is een pré  

• Goede beheersing van Engels; Nederlands is een grote pré
