Are you interested in product development, smart home technology, and working in a global environment? At Hunter Douglas, the world leader in window coverings and architectural products, we are looking for a Product Management Intern to join our EMEA Product team in Rotterdam. 

 

In this role, you will support the launch and development of innovative smart home solutions, including motorised window coverings such as PowerView®. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and gain hands-on experience in bringing products from concept to market. This internship will begin in early July 2026. 

 

What You’ll Do 

As a Product Management Intern, you will contribute to real projects and take ownership of meaningful initiatives: 

• Support the development and enhancement of motorised products and smart solutions  

• Identify opportunities to improve products, tools, and processes  

• Take ownership of defined projects and drive them from concept to implementation  

• Coordinate with teams across Engineering, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Commercial  

• Support the creation and improvement of tools that enhance product development  

• Work with technical data and translate it into clear, actionable outputs  

• Assist in creating and standardising product documentation  

• Ensure consistency and quality across product materials  

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across regions and functions  

• Help structure and integrate market and stakeholder input into product decisions  

 

Your Team 

You will be part of the EMEA Product Management team, focused on motorisation and smart window covering solutions. The team works cross-functionally across multiple departments, giving you broad exposure to how products are developed and launched globally.  

 

Who You Are 

• Currently pursuing an HBO, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, Business Administration, or a related field  

• Eligible for an internship through a university program  

• Comfortable working independently on project-based tasks  

• Proactive, hands-on, and eager to learn  

• Interested in product development and smart/technical solutions  

• Able to work with structured data and translate technical information clearly  

• Proficiency in English (written and spoken); other languages are a plus

Bij Hunter Douglas, wereldwijd marktleider in raambekleding en architectonische producten, zijn wij op zoek naar een productmanagementstagiair om ons EMEA-productteam in Rotterdam te versterken.

 

In deze rol ondersteun je de lancering en ontwikkeling van innovatieve smart home-oplossingen, waaronder gemotoriseerde raambekleding zoals PowerView®. Je werkt nauw samen met verschillende afdelingen en doet praktijkervaring op in het proces van concept tot marktbrenging van producten. Deze stage start begin juli 2026.

 

Wat ga je doen

• Ondersteunen bij de ontwikkeling en verbetering van gemotoriseerde producten en smart oplossingen
• Signaleren van kansen om producten, tools en processen te verbeteren
• Eigenaarschap nemen over projecten en deze van concept tot implementatie begeleiden
• Samenwerken met teams binnen Engineering, Marketing, Supply Chain en Commercial
• Ondersteunen bij het ontwikkelen en verbeteren van tools die productontwikkeling versterken
• Werken met technische data en deze vertalen naar duidelijke en bruikbare output
• Helpen bij het opstellen en standaardiseren van productdocumentatie
• Zorgen voor consistentie en kwaliteit in productmaterialen
• Samenwerken met interne stakeholders in verschillende regio’s en functies
• Input van markt en stakeholders structureren en integreren in productbeslissingen

 

Jouw team

Je maakt deel uit van het EMEA Product Management team, met een focus op motorisatie en slimme raambekledingsoplossingen. Het team werkt cross-functioneel samen met meerdere afdelingen, waardoor je brede exposure krijgt in hoe producten wereldwijd worden ontwikkeld en gelanceerd.

 

Wie ben jij

• Je volgt momenteel een HBO-, bachelor- of masteropleiding in Engineering, Industrial Design, Bedrijfskunde of een gerelateerd vakgebied
• Je bent beschikbaar voor een stage via je opleiding
• Je kunt zelfstandig werken aan projectmatige taken
• Je bent proactief, hands-on en leergierig
• Je hebt interesse in productontwikkeling en technische/smart oplossingen
• Je kunt gestructureerde data analyseren en technische informatie helder vertalen
• Je beheerst de Engelse taal goed (schriftelijk en mondeling); andere talen zijn een pré
