Now Hiring: Companion Caregivers for Long-Term Assignments

Pay: $18–$20/hr | Assignment-Based | Full-Time or Weekend-Only Options

Are you a caregiver who values deep connections with your clients and prefers longer, consistent shifts? Tandem Care is looking for compassionate, experienced caregivers to join our Companion Care team, providing essential support to seniors who want to age comfortably and safely in their own homes.

About This Role:

As a Companion Caregiver, you'll be matched with one or two clients based on your availability, preferences, and experience. You’ll work longer visits (minimum of 6 hours) and assist with personal care, safety monitoring, light housekeeping, meal prep, and companionship.

This is a great fit for caregivers who:

• Want consistent schedules and long-term client relationships

• Prefer longer shifts (6 hours minimum)

• Are reliable, patient, and proactive

• Can assist with personal care (bathing, hygiene, toileting, etc.)

• Have at least 5 days/week of full availability or full weekend availability

• Want more say in who they work with and when

• Have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle to get to and from shifts

Not a fit if:

• You’re only looking for occasional or on-call work

• You're not comfortable with hands-on personal care

• You don’t have consistent weekly availability

• You’re unable to drive to client homes

Requirements:

• Active Home Care Aide (HCA) registration in California
  → Must have passed a Live Scan background check
  → Check your status here

• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle

• Smartphone (iPhone or Android) to access required apps

• Excellent communication and follow-through

• Strong reliability — our clients depend on you
