Job Title: IRIS Payroll Implementation Consultant (6-month fixed term contract) 
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 09.00 - 17.00, 36.25 hours per week 
Salary: dependent on experience 
Location: Flexible – Embrace fully UK remote or hybrid work from any of our vibrant UK offices in London, Cardiff, Durham or Blackpool.

We are seeking an experienced IRIS Payroll Implementation Specialist to lead the setup and deployment of the IRIS payroll portal in Tandem. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processes and software configuration, with hands-on experience implementing IRIS.

As an IRIS Payroll Implementation Consultant at Tandem your focus will be on: 

  • Lead the end-to-end implementation of IRIS Payroll software process changes and portal 
  • Configure system settings, import employee data, and ensure accurate setup of pay elements, deductions, and statutory requirements 
  • Work closely with HR and Finance teams to understand payroll requirements and ensure seamless integration and explore API options for Bamboo/IRIS interfacing 
  • Work with our technology teams to conduct system testing and resolve any issues prior to go-live 
  • Identify new ways of working and how to avoid ‘double-entry’ requirements 
  • Train internal staff on using the IRIS payroll system 
  • Administer monthly payroll to ensure payments are correctly entered and audited 
  • Provide pre- and post-implementation support and documentation, including identifying and documenting relevant risks and controls 

We’d love to hear from you if you have: 

  • Proven project management experience implementing IRIS Payroll software 
  • Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation and compliance 
  • Proven experience standing up payroll processes, helping to create payroll processes and amend existing documentation 
  • Strong teamwork ethos and flexibility to work as required on other projects/requirements outside IRIS Payroll software 

It would be great, but not essential if you have: 

  • Experience implementing IRIS within banking, financial services or a regulated environment 
  • Experience of working with/knowledge of Bamboo HR
