Senior Manager – Transactions
Job Title: (Mid-Senior) Manager – Transactions (level will be dependent on experience)
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 36.25 hours per week
Salary: £60,000 - £92,500 (dependent on experience) and up to 20% bonus and benefits
Location: Hybrid working from our central London office

We are hiring a key team member to join our growing Corporate Transactions team. Depending on your experience, this role will be offered at either the Manager or Senior Manager level and report directly to the Managing Director Corporate Development. The successful candidate will work across complex loan portfolio transactions including bilateral acquisitions and sales, structured finance projects (e.g. RMBS), and investor engagement for transactions. This is a hands-on, high-impact role involving financial modelling, deal execution, and multi-stakeholder project management including exposure to C-Suite, Board and PE shareholders.

Your Impact: Building a greener tomorrow
As a Senior/Mid Transactions Manager at Tandem your focus will be on:
- Execute or support execution of loan portfolio transactions, including pricing, due diligence, financial modelling, and closing.
- Develop or enhance detailed financial models for transaction analysis, portfolio valuations, and investor materials.
- Prepare investment memos, board materials, and marketing decks for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support transaction documentation including providing input into or leading commercial aspects of negotiations.
- Manage or contribute to transaction workstreams across legal, credit risk, finance, and operations teams.
- Engage with investors and support relationship development
- Conduct market research and provide insights on portfolio strategy and funding markets.
- Support internal reporting, analytics, and pipeline management for transaction activity.
- Support bank balance sheet and capital optimisation in conjunction with the wider Finance team.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Demonstrable experience in banking, structured finance, credit advisory, rating agencies or capital markets.
- Strong financial modelling skills, including cash flow modelling and portfolio analytics in Excel.
- Understanding of consumer credit, mortgage lending, or structured credit products (e.g., ABS/RMBS).
- Experience supporting or leading transaction processes, including due diligence and documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable preparing investor and board materials.
- Understanding of prudential regulations in context of bank’s capital requirements (or willingness to learn it)
- Organised, commercially aware, and self-starter mindset.
- Ambition to grow into a leadership role in deal execution and investor engagement.
It would be great, but not essential if you have:
- Advanced post-graduate education, e.g. MBA or CFA
- Accounting Qualifications
- Advanced financial modelling skills, e.g. VBA / SQL
- Experience presenting to or preparing presentation material for C-Suite / Board Level
- Previous Buy-Side experience (directly or indirectly)
