POSITION OVERVIEW

As an Art Director, you will work closely with a Copywriter to develop bold, strategic ideas deployed seamlessly across all channels. Reporting to the Creative Director, you will help evolve concepts from initial spark to final execution, ensuring every detail reflects the brand, the strategy, and a high level of craft.  As a member of our Toronto studio, you will join a dynamic, globally-minded team surrounded by some of the brightest minds in their fields and get to work in one of the newest WPP campuses.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Develop original, relevant, and memorable ideas and campaigns
  • Translate marketing objectives into compelling visual concepts (digital, social, print, radio, television)
  • Lead the visual development of campaigns from concept through production
  • Ensure creative excellence and consistency across all touchpoints (360° vision)
  • Collaborate closely with copywriters, designers, illustrators, and account teams
  • Present and confidently defend your ideas internally and to clients
  • Identify opportunities to elevate the creative work at every stage
  • Occasionally participate in pitches and new business development
  • Deliver work that is strategically aligned and on-brand, minimizing client revisions

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 5 years of experience as an Art Director in an agency setting
  • Degree or diploma in graphic design or a related field
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking and multi-channel craft
  • Healthcare agency experience is an asset
  • Strategic mindset with strong creative instincts
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence others and collaborate effectively
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Experience with  Figma, Adobe XD and Sketch is an asset
  • Strong proficiency in English; working knowledge of French is an asset

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.

Salary Range

$45,000 - $95,000 CAD
