The Director of Sales & Business Development owns tastyfx's commercial growth strategy, with primary focus on new client acquisition and market share expansion in the $500M US retail forex market. This role leads both retail client acquisition and emerging institutional/corporate business development, directly competing against FOREX.com and OANDA for high-value traders and introducing broker relationships.

This is a player/coach role, where you'll personally develop and close high-value opportunities while building and leading a team capable of scaling our acquisition engine. Success in this role directly impacts tastyfx's revenue trajectory and strategic position within IG Group's North American portfolio. 

What You’ll Do: 

New Business Acquisition (Primary Focus) 

  • Own new funded account targets through coordinated sales-marketing efforts and direct business development 
  • Personally develop and close high-value accounts ($50k+ deposits) and corporate/institutional relationships 
  • Build outbound prospecting motion targeting active traders at competitor platforms 
  • Identify and convert introducing broker, API partner, and affiliate relationships 
  • Develop competitive positioning and sales materials to win against FOREX.com and OANDA 

Team Leadership & Development 

  • Lead and develop a team including Premium Client Manager, Business Development, and Client Acquisition associates 
  • Implement sales playbooks, pipeline management, and performance accountability 
  • Build team capability to independently handle client lifecycle from prospect to active trader 
  • Hire and develop talent to scale acquisition capacity 

Revenue Growth & Strategic Partnerships 

  • Maximize application-to-funding conversion through systematic funnel analysis 
  • Drive adoption of premium offerings (Prime, MT5, Zero+) among new and existing clients 
  • Coordinate with tastytrade leadership on cross-sell opportunities and ecosystem integration 
  • Execute 2-3 strategic business development initiatives per quarter with defined metrics 

Who You Are: 

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Required Licensure: Series 3 and 34
  • 5+ years in financial services sales with proven track record of exceeding new business targets in forex, futures, or brokerage  
  • Direct experience acquiring and closing high-value clients ($100k+ accounts) and/or institutional relationships  
  • Demonstrated ability to build outbound sales motion—not just manage inbound leads  
  • Strong understanding of retail trading lifecycle: account opening, funding, platform adoption, retention  
  • Experience managing sales teams with clear pipeline discipline and performance accountability  
  • Relationship-building skills spanning retail traders, corporate clients, and strategic partners  
  • Proficiency with MetaTrader platforms, TradingView, and CRM systems

Salary Range: $150,000 - $165,000 + Commission Structure tied to new business revenue
The actual salary offered will be based on the candidate's level of experience and qualifications

Discretionary performance bonus: 15-20% of base salary based on individual and company performance
