Software Engineer Intern

Los Angeles, California, United States

Tatari is on a mission to revolutionize TV advertising. Founded in 2016 to help transform the antiquated world of TV advertising through the intelligent application of AI and machine learning, Tatari helps some of the world’s fastest growing brands including Chime, Calm, Tecovas, Manscaped, Saatva, and Liquid I.V., reach their customers using linear and streaming TV ads. Our platform combines sophisticated media buying with proprietary analytics to turn TV advertising into an automated, digital-like experience, enabling businesses of any size to advertise on TV.

That approach has earned Tatari broad industry recognition, including being named Best CTV AdTech Platform in the 8th annual MarTech Breakthrough Awards, as well as honors from Digiday (Best Connected TV Platform), AdExchanger (Most Innovative TV Advertising Technology), and Business Insider (Hottest AdTech Companies). Tatari has also been recognized as the Best Place to Work by Inc. Magazine. Backed by an executive team of former founders and senior leaders from companies including Shazam, TrueCar, AdapTV, LiveRail, Amazon, Google, Meta, Microsoft, and Yahoo, Tatari continues to scale rapidly as TV advertising enters its next major era.

As an intern for the summer of 2026, you will join one of our backend engineering teams (listed below) and contribute to the development of our medi buying and measurement platform. In this role you will design, build, and improve product features that directly impact our customers. This internship offers the opportunity to take ownership of a meaningful project, work with real-world data, and gain hands-on experience building scalable systems in a fast-paced technology environment.

Campaign Management: The Campaign Manager team builds and owns Tatari’s media buying applications and pipelines. The team focuses on delivering campaign planning applications and features that allows media buyers – both internal and external – to plan, execute and optimize TV campaigns using powerful intuitive tools provided by Tatari’s data and ML models, and drive self-service platforms.

Media Intelligence: The Media Intelligence team builds the AI/ML systems that power automated media planning, audience targeting, and prediction models for clearance and performance across linear and streaming television. Our focus is on intelligent automation, predictive insights, and AI-powered tools that enable optimal, data-driven campaign decisions. Our work is at the intersection of AI/ML engineering, data pipelines, and product to make media intelligence available to every Tatari client.

Reporting and Measurement: The Reporting and Measurement pillar consists of 2 different verticals that focus on building the products and systems that help clients understand how their TV campaigns are performing. Intuitive Reporting (IR) owns the client-facing measurement and reporting platform, including the dashboards, APIs, and analytics that turn TV advertising data into clear, actionable insights for brands and agencies. RAM Data Quality (RDQ) owns the integrity of the data behind every report and dashboard at Tatari, building the systems that keep our measurement data accurate, complete, and trustworthy at scale. It's the foundation that everything else, including our AI-powered products, depends on.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and deliver a summer project from initial scoping through final implementation
  • Work with our backend and data teams to develop new features, analytics, and data systems.
  • Focus on a combination of systems tooling, data automation, data analysis and statistics, and transforming messy real-world data into elegant results.
  • Participate in team discussions, code reviews, and collaborative problem-solving throughout the internship.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
