Senior Solutions Engineer
Tatari is on a mission to revolutionize TV advertising. Founded in 2016 to help transform the antiquated world of TV advertising through the intelligent application of AI and machine learning, Tatari helps some of the world’s fastest growing brands including Chime, Calm, Tecovas, Manscaped, Saatva, and Liquid I.V., reach their customers using linear and streaming TV ads. Our platform combines sophisticated media buying with proprietary analytics to turn TV advertising into an automated, digital-like experience, enabling businesses of any size to advertise on TV.
That approach has earned Tatari broad industry recognition, including being named Best CTV AdTech Platform in the 8th annual MarTech Breakthrough Awards, as well as honors from Digiday (Best Connected TV Platform), AdExchanger (Most Innovative TV Advertising Technology), and Business Insider (Hottest AdTech Companies). Tatari has also been recognized as the Best Place to Work by Inc. Magazine. Backed by an executive team of former founders and senior leaders from companies including Shazam, TrueCar, AdapTV, LiveRail, Amazon, Google, Meta, Microsoft, and Yahoo, Tatari continues to scale rapidly as TV advertising enters its next major era.
We are looking for a Senior Solutions Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be the technical authority bridging our clients and internal teams—owning complex B2B integrations end-to-end, mentoring junior engineers, and influencing the long-term technical direction of our solutions practice. You will work directly with strategic clients to understand integration requirements, lead architecture-level decisions across our data and tooling systems, and drive cross-functional initiatives that raise the bar for the entire team. Beyond execution, you will proactively identify product gaps, propose improvements to our technical stack, and ensure your team has the knowledge and resources to succeed. Familiarity with the AdTech ecosystem—including ad measurement, attribution, pixel/tag implementation, or privacy-safe tracking—is a strong advantage in this role.
Description:
- Lead complex client integrations end-to-end, owning technical decisions from discovery through production and serving as the primary technical contact for strategic accounts
- Design, build, and maintain public-facing Python SDKs and robust APIs that simplify integration workflows and abstract complex data management processes for clients; own API versioning, documentation, and authentication flows
- Investigate and resolve complex client-side implementation issues and data pipeline failures; drive root-cause analysis and implement systemic fixes rather than one-off patches; act as the escalation point from junior SEs and partner with engineering to drive resolution of issues requiring deeper platform changes
- Identify data quality gaps, operational pain points, and product improvement opportunities—including gaps related to privacy-safe measurement and cookieless tracking—and synthesize these into prioritized recommendations that inform the short- and long-term roadmap
- Actively mentor junior and mid-level Solutions Engineers, providing technical guidance, code review, and support for their growth
- Contribute to tooling, tech stack, and architecture discussions and decisions; propose larger-scale changes that meaningfully improve the technical health of our systems
- Collaborate with your manager on team goal-setting, aligning team objectives to company priorities, and ensuring critical knowledge is distributed across the team
- Partner with sales on technical discovery, RFPs, and proof-of-concept engagements for strategic prospective accounts
Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience as a software engineer, Python preferred
- 5+ years working with data systems, including hands-on experience with SQL; familiarity with AWS (S3, CloudFront), PostgreSQL, and streaming data pipelines (Kafka, Storm, or similar) preferred
- Fluent AI-assisted development: you regularly use tools like Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar as a core part of your workflow — writing, debugging, refactoring, and accelerating engineering work
- Demonstrated ability to drive complex, ambiguous technical projects independently and see them through to production
- Strong understanding of API architectural patterns (REST, GraphQL, AWS API Gateway, etc.) and experience building and maintaining robust client-facing SDKs and integration tools
- Proven experience designing and building workflow automation using tools like n8n, Zapier, or similar platforms; you think architecture-first, not just configuration
- Exceptional communication skills — equally comfortable leading technical design discussions with engineers and translating complex concepts to non-technical clients or stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage multiple clients and workstreams simultaneously, often under tight timelines, without sacrificing quality
- Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to the technical growth of a team
- Awareness of digital advertising measurement, privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA), and cookieless/server-side tracking trends is a strong plus
Benefits
- Total compensation ($140,000 - $170,000)
- Equity compensation
- Health insurance coverage for you and your dependents
- 401K, FSA, and commuter benefits
- $150 monthly spending account
- $1,000 annual continued education benefit
- $500 Newbie Productivity Perk
- Unlimited PTO and sick days
- Monthly Company Wellness Day Off
- Snacks, drinks, and catered lunches at the office
- Team building events
- Hybrid RTO of 2 days per week in office.
