ABOUT THE ROLE

The Training and Development Specialist delivers live, instructor-led training across the organization, with a primary focus on Operations and Processing. As a subject matter expert in policies and procedures, the Specialist enhances performance using creative and effective learning strategies. This role contributes to increased productivity, client satisfaction, and overall efficiency. The Specialist also partners with senior leaders to identify development needs and coordinate impactful training solutions. Ideal candidates are collaborative team players who enjoy sharing ideas, best practices, and helping others grow.

HOW YOU'LL BE REWARDED

  • Salary Range: $75,000 - 80,000 per year
  • Monthly Bonus: Average bonus potential of $500 -800 per month

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Deliver engaging, instructor-led training sessions on a regular basis, with a primary focus on supporting new hires during their first 30 days through in-classroom instruction and hands-on guidance to ensure a strong start.
  • Collaborate with partners to determine learning needs and the best delivery approach.
  • Identify training needs by evaluating strengths and areas of improvements for individual employees, as well as the overall program.
  • Work closely with Department Managers, to provide regular updates on progress and results achieved.
  • Maintain records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
  • Evaluate program efficiency and continuously work to identify needed improvements to meet department and organizational needs.
  • Ensure that sufficient resources and materials are accessible for in-person training as well as resources for continuous learning.
  • Review procedures, processes, and systems continuously to determine where improvement can be made.
  • Assess training effectiveness through knowledge checks, quizzes and follow up reviews.
  • Acclimate new employees to the company programs and best practices.
  • Constantly identify areas of improvement in varying departments and suggest solutions to management to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support in creating and maintaining training and procedural material based on organizational and department needs.
  • Support the evaluation of learning programs by gathering and analyzing data such as engagement metrics and user feedback, and assist in identifying insights to inform continuous improvement efforts.

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

  • Experience in designing and delivering varied learning solutions (e.g., in-person, virtual, e-learning, blended) that meet the priority needs of stakeholders across various functions and levels
  • Ability to manage the full training cycle, from needs assessment to evaluation and continuous improvement.
  • Skilled in identifying learning needs and aligning training initiatives with business goals and cross-functional priorities.
  • High emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills with a strong ability to connect across roles and departments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including facilitation, presentation, and storytelling.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize competing tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a high commitment to accuracy, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience evaluating training outcomes and measuring knowledge retention and application.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Drive), and internal communication tools (e.g., Slack, Teams).
  • Adept with learning platforms (e.g. Articulate Suite) and digital tools (e.g. Canva), with the ability to quickly learn new technologies.
  • Ability to research and recommend innovative training approaches and solutions.
  • Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and evolving business needs
