ABOUT THE ROLE
The State Tax Case Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of clients going through state tax resolution. This role serves as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring a smooth and professional experience from onboarding through resolution. You will support the State Tax Investigation Specialists by collecting financial records, tax-related documents, and other key information required to assess and resolve state tax matters.

HOW YOU'LL BE REWARDED

- Base pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour (full-time, 40 hours per week)
- Monthly Bonus: Average bonus potential of $800 - $1,200
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Client Communication & Support

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the case management process.

Provide clear guidance to clients regarding required documents, deadlines, and next steps.

Keep clients informed on case progress and manage expectations professionally and empathetically.
Document Collection & Financial Intake

Collect necessary tax-related documents and financial records from clients via phone, email, or portal.

Review submitted materials for completeness and accuracy.

Identify and follow up on missing or inconsistent information to ensure readiness for case review.
CRM & Case Management

Maintain accurate and detailed records of client interactions and documentation in the CRM system.

Monitor case progress and update statuses according to workflow timelines.

Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth transitions between case stages.
Administrative Coordination

Prepare and process engagement letters and authorization forms.

Track document submissions and ensure all required materials are received before internal deadlines.

Flag any client concerns or unusual case details to the State Tax Investigation Specialist for further review.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE

Previous experience in case coordination, loan processing, or administrative support roles; tax-related experience is a plus.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong organizational skills with a sharp attention to detail.

Ability to multitask and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment.

Proficiency in CRM systems; experience with tax or financial platforms is a bonus.

A team-player mindset with a strong sense of accountability and follow-through.

Customer service expertise and a passion for delivering high-quality client experiences.

Knowledge of state tax processes is a plus — but we provide training!
