ABOUT THE ROLE

The Sales Training and Performance Manager is responsible for developing and delivering an engaging sales training program educating new team members on the various tax resolution programs available under the IRS Fresh Start Program, familiarizing them with the consultation process, and how to enroll new clients. This position actively searches, creatively designs, and implements effective methods to educate and enhance sales performance. This role is for a strong team player who loves bringing ideas to the table, shares best practices, has a passion for developing others and possesses an engaging and energetic presence in the training room and salesfloor.

HOW YOU'LL BE REWARDED

  • Salary Range: $90,000 - 110,000 per year
  • Monthly Bonus: Average bonus potential of $2,000 - 3,000 per month

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Develop comprehensive training materials and resources on different types of tax resolution programs offered under the IRS Fresh Start Program. 
  • Conduct engaging and interactive training sessions for new employees to ensure they have a thorough understanding of tax resolution strategies, processes, and compliance requirements.
  • Conduct training sessions utilizing a combination of learning methods such as in-classroom, hands-on system walkthroughs, job shadowing, and role playing. 
  • Conduct engaging and interactive training sessions for new employees to ensure they have a thorough understanding of tax resolution strategies, processes, and compliance requirements.
  • Provide hands-on training to new employees utilizing Salesforce for interview intake procedures, including client data entry, properly entering consultation notes in Salesforce, uploading documentation and executing signed agreements. 
  • Coach new employees on effectively utilizing sales techniques, ethical selling practices, and leveraging scripts to enroll new clients. 
  • Collaborate with sales management to customize training programs based on evolving business needs and sales goals. 
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of trainees, providing constructive feedback and support to facilitate their professional development. 
  • Provide regular updates to leadership regarding progress of newly hired employees receiving training. 
  • Become a subject matter expert (SME) in all sales procedures to support the entire operations of the team, serving as a go-to resource for clarifications, guidance, and best practices for new team members. 
  • Provide ongoing support and resources to employees, including refresher courses, skill development workshops, and access to learning materials.
  • Manage workload by setting priorities, allocating resources, and overcoming challenges to ensure delivery on time and on budget.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management. 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

  • Proficient experience in various CRM systems such as Salesforce.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and training methods.
  • Ability to motivate, engage and develop new team members into sales professionals.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships and influenced at senior levels.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Ability to relate your work with business outcomes and how work aligns across business functions.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation and facilitation skills and the ability to effectively communicate with employees of all levels.
  • Detail orientated and commitment to a high degree of accuracy.
  • Comfortable working in a high-energy, quickly changing, and demanding environment.
  • Have a high level of interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and be trustworthy to a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Motivated self-starter with a passion for coaching and developing others.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office Suites, Google Gmail, Calendar and internal communication software. 
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience delivering sales training, preferably in financial services, consumer lending or tax industry.
