ABOUT THE ROLE
TaxRise is hiring an Associate Director of Performance Marketing to drive revenue growth through paid acquisition, funnel optimization, and performance measurement. This is a high-impact role for a performance marketing expert who can translate business goals into scalable acquisition strategy, run rigorous testing across channels and landing experiences, and build trustworthy reporting that connects spend to downstream outcomes. You will own the performance engine end-to-end: media strategy and execution → CRO and funnel improvement → attribution and reporting → quality feedback loops tied to Salesforce outcomes. This is a high-accountability role where you’ll work cross-functionally with Creative, UX/design, Analytics, Sales Ops, and Revenue teams to ensure paid marketing directly drives qualified leads, appointments, and revenue growth.

We’re all about collaboration and innovation — this role is 100% on-site in Irvine, CA. If you’re excited to both direct and create alongside a dynamic team, you’ll be a perfect fit.

HOW YOU’LL BE REWARDED
At TaxRise, we value results-driven marketing leadership and hands-on execution. You’ll have the autonomy to shape strategy, build repeatable systems, and directly influence revenue outcomes.

  • Base salary: $150,000 - 180,000 annually (DOE). Monthly performance-based incentives tied to pipeline and revenue outcomes.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Paid Media Strategy & Execution

  • Lead strategy, execution, and optimization across core paid channels (Google Ads, Meta, others as relevant).
  • Own budget allocation, pacing, and performance management against CPA/CAC and revenue targets.
  • Build structured experimentation roadmaps: creative angles, audiences, offers, bidding, and funnel pairing.
  • Establish consistent operating standards: account structure, naming conventions, QA, creative refresh cadence, post-test readouts.

CRO & Funnel Performance (Ads → Landing Pages → Forms)

  • Drive continuous conversion optimization across landing pages, forms, and key funnel steps.
  • Partner with UX/design to ship improvements that lift conversion rates and reduce friction (message match, page speed, trust, clarity, form UX).
  • Design, run, and interpret A/B tests with clear hypotheses and measurable impact.
  • Optimize for unbranded microsites and acquisition model realities.

Measurement, Attribution & Reporting (Power BI)

  • Own weekly/monthly performance reporting, tying results to funnel stages and business outcomes.
  • Maintain clear KPI frameworks and shared definitions (Lead, MQL/DQL, booked, show, sale, revenue).
  • Partner with analytics and ops to ensure data quality: UTMs, campaign taxonomy, conversion tracking integrity, and attribution consistency.
  • Improve decision-making through cohorting and quality segmentation (channel/campaign/creative/page performance vs downstream outcomes).

Revenue Operations Alignment (HubSpot + Salesforce)

  • Ensure marketing-to-sales handoffs support growth: lead routing, lifecycle logic, follow-up workflows, and feedback loops.
  • Connect marketing performance to offline outcomes in Salesforce, leveraging quality signals to inform bidding and spend.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance-impacting issues across tracking, CRM sync, routing, and funnel instrumentation.

Cross-functional Leadership

  • Lead initiatives across Creative, UX, Analytics, and Sales Ops—driving timelines, clarity, and measurable outcomes.
  • Raise execution standards through documentation, QA checklists, launch processes, and consistent performance narratives.

FIRST 90 DAYS: WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • Establish a clear testing cadence across media + CRO, with documented learnings and repeatable playbooks.
  • Power BI reporting becomes actionable: trusted definitions, cleaner segmentation, consistent performance reads.
  • Funnel improvements ship consistently and produce measurable lift in conversion rate and/or quality-adjusted CPA.
  • Marketing decisions better reflect down-funnel outcomes (appointments, sales), not just top-of-funnel CPL.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE

  • 5–8+ years in performance marketing/growth with ownership of significant budgets and measurable revenue impact.
  • Hands-on expertise in at least two major paid platforms (Google Ads + Meta strongly preferred).
  • Strong CRO capability: landing page/form optimization and experimentation discipline.
  • Strong analytics/reporting skills; comfort operating in Power BI.
  • Working knowledge of tracking and marketing ops (UTMs, event QA, pixels/CAPI concepts, attribution fundamentals).
  • Experience in a HubSpot + Salesforce environment (or equivalent marketing automation + CRM stack).

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience in lead-gen businesses where appointments and sales are the true KPI.
  • Familiarity with call tracking, offline conversion feeds, and optimizing to quality signals.
  • Comfort partnering with analysts on data modeling that powers Power BI dashboards (SQL a plus).

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
