WHO WE ARE

TBNR (The Best Never Rest) was founded by the trailblazing Content Creator, Preston Arsement (known widely as PrestonPlayz) in 2012 with his first YouTube channel and has been growing nonstop ever since! As a result, in 2023 TBNR was approved by YouTube as the first Creator-owned MCN (multi channel network). WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a creative, sharp-thinking Storyteller / Assistant Director to join our production team. This role blends storytelling instincts with light editing skills to help shape engaging content from the ground up. You’ll be the right hand to the Director, identifying key story moments, supporting production pivots, and helping bring structure to raw footage. If you have a strong sense of narrative and enjoy being in the middle of the action, this role is for you.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the Director on set by identifying story arcs, standout moments, and emotional beats
• Take detailed notes during filming to track key narrative elements and pivots
• Build Version 1 (v1) cuts from raw footage, helping to shape the first pass at the story
• Apply basic editing skills to structure rough cuts or prep footage for post-production
• Collaborate closely with editors and producers to pass off a strong storytelling foundation
• Ensure footage and notes are organized for downstream editing and storytelling work
• Act as a key storytelling voice throughout the shoot

CREATIVE REQUIREMENTS

• Strong storytelling ability with a clear understanding of basic storytelling frameworks
• Basic editing experience (e.g., Adobe Premiere or similar tools)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in high-energy production settings
• Ability to be on set regularly and work closely with the Director and crew
• Proactive mindset — you’re always thinking about how to tell a better story

Bonus Points

• Previous experience in a YouTube or digital content environment
• Familiarity with gaming or challenge-style content
• Strong visual instinct and ability to think like an editor on set
