Position Summary:

The Global Supervisor is a client engagement role on a major Global account team which serves as a Center of Excellence for TBWA and client partners worldwide. Our team helps govern investment reporting to inform the roll-out plans for global strategic projects and partner led initiatives. Our goal is to offer support across all media practices to global clients as well as local media teams. The Global Supervisor needs to work independently with a highly motivated and optimistic attitude along with a problem-solving mindset. They possess the skills to manage and coordinate multiple projects across various teams independently while also contributing to innovative digital strategies and thought leadership in support of global branding initiatives. As a member of our team, they can be relied upon to mentor other team members or support a client call and should expect and welcome opportunities to flex and grow as needs arise.

TBWA’s relationship with the client is run from a global hub in New York, supported by regional hubs and embedded local market agency teams. In this role, you will focus on governance and coordination of strategic media initiatives across key markets and regularly liaise with the client team based in Japan.

 

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Understand media concepts, measurement, and methodology
  • Recommend, plan, and conduct testing opportunities with the help of TBWA teams in the US and Internationally
  • Create effective analyses and case studies of work to be shared with the client and global TBWA teams
  • Develop global provider recommendations and relationships across key functional areas including brand safety and privacy, media optimization platforms and innovating media technologies
  • Assist in the development of digital media educational and training workshops, best practices and whitepapers for internal staff and client needs
  • Oversee governance of media plans reflecting budget changes and ensuring consistency and accuracy of investment, flowchart and performance reporting depicting current media activity
  • Review and analyze competitive investments for accuracy and trends
  • Supervise global joint business partnerships including overseeing investment tracking, distribution of strategic benefits, development of best practice guides/training material and managing monthly updates and quarterly business reviews
  • Develop POVs that demonstrate a thorough understanding of the client’s needs, challenges and goals as it relates to that which is being evaluated
  • Begin to coach team members and clients on media basics, presentation development, effective and efficient business communication skills and ability to uncover insights
  • Establishes effective client relationships, managing day to day questions, and developing appropriate courses of action.
  • Leverage advanced Excel and campaign management and planning tool skills (i.e. Investment/Flowchart systems, Facebook Business Manager, eMarketer)

In addition to technical skills, Supervisors should be able to effectively communicate, including the ability to:

  • Develop a deep understanding of client goals and relate insights directly to those needs
  • Manage and coordinate with partners and internal teams to assist with innovation workstreams
  • Understand how to effectively organize ideas and concepts through tools such as PowerPoint
  • Effectively communicate and build relationships with clients and key business partners
  • Tie what’s happening across local and global markets to the client’s business
  • Prepare and assist with client-facing deliverables, including presentations and quarterly reviews

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising or communications and 4+ years of work experience managing accounts focused on delivering and optimizing digital media campaigns designed to drive ROI through efficient and effective investments
  • Must be able to be present in the office 3x per week
  • Proven analytical, strategic thinking and communication skills, including ability to translate data into well-articulated ideas and ability to articulate objectives, opportunities, and techniques
  • Experience building audience strategy and/or audiences for activation preferred
  • Media, syndicated research and proprietary analytics tools proficiency preferred – i.e., MRI, Nielsen, Kantar, ComScore, Advanced Excel, Tableau
  • Ability to identify issues and solutions as well as anticipate consequences.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team; prioritizing and delegating with clear verbal and written instruction as needed.

Location:

Given the nature of our Media team and the client assigned to this role, we are only considering candidates that currently live in or wish to relocate to New York City, in the near future (first 60 days of employment).

The annual salary range for this role is $80,000 - $110,000 and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic location and experience. Other compensation includes relocation costs, if applicable.
