About the Role:

Sketchy is offering a Summer 2025 internship opportunity for an MBA/Master’s student in the Finance/Operations team. This internship is designed to provide you with hands-on experience working closely with the CFO on high-impact strategic projects. As an intern, you will gain exposure to key financial and operational functions, contributing to decision-making that will shape the company's future. You'll be involved in market research, financial modeling, and strategic analysis, all while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth. This is a hands-on role with direct exposure to executive-level decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Research & Strategy: Assist in developing recommendations for potential new markets. This will involve conducting research, analyzing market trends, and identifying opportunities for business expansion. You will help synthesize data and insights to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Financial Modeling: Create financial models to support fundraising initiatives. You’ll work on projections, valuations, and other financial analyses that will provide critical insights for potential investors and internal stakeholders.
  • Internal Knowledge Management: Organize and synthesize internal learnings from past market explorations into a structured, shareable knowledge base. This project will involve gathering and summarizing insights from previous market efforts to create a comprehensive repository of information that can be used by other teams moving forward.
  • Ad-hoc Strategic & Operational Analysis: Support ad-hoc strategic and operational analyses as needed. This could include analyzing operational efficiencies, forecasting financial trends, or conducting any other research to support Sketchy’s business goals.

About You:

  • Strong Interest in Strategic Finance & Operations: You are passionate about business strategy, market analysis, and financial operations. You’re eager to contribute to high-level strategic projects and have a strong interest in understanding the inner workings of a growing company.
  • Academic Background: You are currently pursuing an MBA or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. You have a strong academic record and are looking to apply your advanced coursework in a real-world setting.
  • Relevant Experience: Prior internships or coursework in finance, business development, operations, or strategy is a plus. Experience with financial modeling, market analysis, or business operations would be highly beneficial.
  • Analytical & Financial Acumen: Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with a solid understanding of financial modeling, data analysis, and market research. You should be comfortable with Excel and other data analysis tools.
  • Attention to Detail & Structured Thinking: You excel at organizing complex information and distilling it into actionable insights. You take pride in presenting information in a clear and structured way.
  • Team Player & Strong Communication Skills: You’re a collaborative and communicative team member who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You are comfortable working across different functions and clearly communicating your findings and recommendations.
  • Self-Starter with a Growth Mindset: You are proactive, self-motivated, and eager to take ownership of projects. You approach challenges with a growth mindset, learning quickly and adapting as needed.

Expected weekly base salary: $1,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits that may be offered in connection with the advertised role.
