The Client Manager, DD&I is a client-facing opportunity for an experienced professional to manage a portfolio of TDI’s key client relationships for our Due Diligence & Investigations (DD&I) business. The role will create long-term value for TDI through building and maintaining effective relationships with current clients by directly managing clients; providing support, assistance, and guidance to other client managers and the revenue generation team; and serving as a point of coordination and collaboration with the sales and operations teams. The successful candidate is expected to quickly comprehend complex issues, regions, and industries; have familiarity with corporate ethics and compliance issues; engage positively with external clients and relationship stakeholders; exhibit effective interpersonal communication skills; and be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Job Responsibilities
The Client Manager, DD&I will have the following responsibilities:
- Manage client relationships and communications, as assigned, according to TDI’s culture and values.
- Be responsible for the quality of the client relationship, which includes: working with the client to identify the offering that will best meet the client’s need, setting clear client expectations, meeting or checking in regularly with key contacts, effectively liaising with TDI project managers and leadership, and preparing reports/assessments of client relationships.
- Write client-ready quotes, proposals, and RFP responses that respond to the client need and speak to our value add, based on what is appropriate for each request.
- Provide proposal and business development support for partners and business developers, as assigned and on an as-needed basis.
- Understand and clearly communicate client expectations to the Operations team, actively participate in the project lifecycle, conduct comprehensive reviews of reports, and provide actionable and constructive feedback to the Operations team.
- Deliver client-ready reports, briefings, proposals/quotes, and email communications to clients that are tailored to the client’s needs and expectations.
- Follow TDI’s client engagement and proposal processes.
- Close business and deliver consistent revenue through upselling, reselling, and cross-selling, as agreed.
- Be an internal expert and focal point for ensuring that TDI’s value proposition is communicated and delivered to clients via proposals, reports, etc.
- Have a demonstrated interest and expertise in client industry knowledge and relevant events, and knowledge of our competition and market position.
- Speak authoritatively, consistently, and accurately about the firm, its pitch, and its methodologies.
- Identify, assess, and communicate markets trends to the broader Sales and Client Management teams.
- Other responsibilities, as assigned.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Client Manager, DD&I position will possess the following:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in international relations, political science, regional studies, business or related area of study.
- Experience:
- 10 or more years of relevant experience, including 2+ years of experience in a client-facing role.
- 3-5 years of experience responding to proposal, qualifications, and fee requests.
- Professional fluency in English required.
- Experience in management consulting, risk advisory, or due diligence required.
- Skills:
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
- Expertise in energy/materials, life sciences, advanced industries/aerospace, financial services, and/or professional services.
- Capable of adjusting to changing priorities and industry dynamics while maintaining professionalism.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms.
- Skilled in working effectively with diverse teams and clients, demonstrating cultural awareness.
- Ability to exhibit a high level of work ethic and professionalism; strong attention to detail.
- Creative problem-solving abilities and a proven track record of driving process improvement.
- Exceptional reading, writing, briefing, and analytical skills; candidates will be asked to complete a diagnostic test to this effect.
- Excellent time management skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Location: Washington, DC (in-person)
Compensation: $90,000 – $120,000 annualized
