About TDI

TDI, founded in 1999, is a strategic advisory and risk intelligence firm dedicated to helping multinational organizations navigate commercial, regulatory, and reputational risks. We provide actionable insights and a decisive information advantage through our advisory services, due diligence, investigations, and advanced analytics. Leveraging our unique expertise in commercial, intelligence, and technology domains, we empower clients to make informed decisions in complex environments.

We’re hiring a Regulatory Analyst to support the development of a regulatory intelligence platform that transforms government data into structured, usable insights. This role sits at the intersection of legal research, data structuring, and regulatory analysis. This is not a technical or coding role

You’ll be responsible for reviewing external regulatory sources, mapping them into internal data frameworks, and working alongside engineering teams to support API testing and integration. The work is research-heavy and detail-oriented, ideal for someone who enjoys making sense of complex, often ambiguous information.

Job Responsibilities

The Regulatory Analyst will have the following responsibilities:

  • Analyze and interpret the structure of authoritative regulatory databases (e.g., Federal Register) and map them to our internal data model.
  • Design and support the implementation of integration plans for ingesting content into the TDI Regulation Navigator.
  • Maintain quality and consistency of ingested data through spot-checks, metadata validation, and reconciliation with official sources.
  • Assist in refining data models to accommodate varying document formats and metadata fields across jurisdictions.
  • Collaborate with internal and offshore teams to monitor ingestion workflows and escalate issues related to data quality, coverage, or integration delays.
  • Review and refine AI-generated outputs to ensure relevance, compliance accuracy, and alignment with platform goals.

Key TDI Values

At TDI, we uphold these core values:

  • Client Focus: You respond urgently and effectively to client needs, placing their interests and long-term trust above all.
  • Impact: You deliver exceptional results through organized and decisive actions, consistently exceeding expectations.
  • Teamwork: You collaborate openly and respectfully, supporting team members to achieve shared goals on time and to high standards.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Regulatory Analyst position will possess the following:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred in law, public policy, international relations, business, information science, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in a relevant domain such as legal tech, regulatory research, compliance operations, data structuring, or API-based content pipelines.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of how regulatory content is published and structured by government entities, particularly in the US and EU.
    • Ability to work across disciplines, translating regulatory concepts into structured metadata and collaborating with technical teams on implementation.
    • Analytical mindset and strong attention to detail, especially in interpreting legal structures and database schemas.
    • Familiarity with APIs, data validation techniques, and content ingestion workflows is a strong plus.
    • Experience with AI/LLM content validation or legal document processing is a bonus.
    • Understands regulatory concepts, takes ownership of their work, and thrives in a fast-moving, iterative environment.
    • While comfort with data and Excel is important, proficiency in Python, R, or similar tools is not required
