Industrial Equipment Technician

As a leading dealer of equipment in the nation, we're looking for a skilled Industrial Equipment Technician with a strong background in welding who’s ready to take on new challenges and grow their skill set.

In this role, you’ll join a supportive, hands-on team and receive training to install, repair, and service compactors and related equipment. From working on motors and pumps to fabricating chutes and installing cardboard balers, you'll build on your welding experience while learning new skills in electrical troubleshooting, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.

What You'll Do:

  • Prioritize safety: Always follow safety protocols including lockout/tagout, fire watch, and fall protection.
  • Make critical repairs: Replace and repair motors, pumps, cylinders, and valves to keep equipment running at peak performance.
  • Follow maintenance schedules: Perform routine servicing to meet equipment requirements and maintain high operational standards.
  • Use cutting tools and torches: Remove and replace old components like chutes and guide rails with precision.
  • Install and configure equipment: Set up compactors, fabricate chutes, and install cardboard balers with guidance and training from experienced techs.
  • Take initiative: Support the team by jumping in wherever needed—this is a great role for someone who’s ready to learn and grow.

Qualifications:

  • Mechanical aptitude: You enjoy figuring out how things work and aren’t afraid to get dirty.
  • Valid driver's license: Clean driving record for operating company vehicles.
  • Tool proficiency: Comfortable with hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.
  • Welding and cutting experience: Previous exposure to basic welding, cutting, and layout work is required.
  • A growth mindset: You're excited about learning new systems and techniques and contributing to a high-performing team.

Physical Requirements:

  • Comfortable working in tight spaces and varied environments (indoor/outdoor).
  • Ability to kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to enter/exit various vehicles as needed.
  • Must be willing and able to pass a DOT physical.
