Territory Sales Representative

Clinton, Maryland, United States

Regional Sales Manager — Southern Maryland
Mid-Atlantic Truck & Equipment (MATE)

Gear Up for Success in Heavy Equipment Sales

Are you a proven sales performer looking to break into an industry that’s hands-on, high-impact, and built to last? If you have mechanical aptitude and a passion for helping people solve real-world problems, this is your chance to shift gears and start something bigger.

At MATE, we sell and support the heavy trucks and equipment that keep cities running—clean streets, safe water, and critical infrastructure. We're looking for a driven sales professional to take ownership of a well-defined territory in Southern Maryland and grow it like it’s your own.

Territory includes Washington, D.C., Prince George’s County, Anne Arundel County, Charles County, Calvert County, and St. Mary’s County.

Why Make the Move to MATE?

  • Big earning potential — Base + draw up to $85K in year one, plus uncapped commissions
    Top reps earn $250K+ annually!
  • Company vehicle provided (valued at $17K)
  • Full benefits package: Medical, dental, vision, PTO, 401(k) match, boot allowance, and more
  • Hands-on training and mentorship: Learn from experienced product specialists and successful sales reps who know what it takes to win in this space
  • Real products, real impact: Support municipalities and contractors with the equipment they depend on

What You’ll Do

This is a field-based role with autonomy and real opportunity. You’ll manage a mix of existing accounts and open new doors in a high-demand territory. Your mission is to be a trusted partner—someone who understands both the customer’s needs and the equipment that can solve them.

  • Visit customers throughout D.C. and Southern Maryland
  • Demo equipment, follow up, and close the deal
  • Own your schedule and manage your territory like it's your own business
  • Learn and speak confidently about hydraulics, electrical systems, and chassis specs

Additional Perks:

  • Annual $200 boot allowance
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Referral bonuses
  • A supportive, down-to-earth team that wants to see you succeed

You’ll Excel Here If:

  • You're a sales professional looking to enter a more technical, value-driven industry
  • You have mechanical aptitude—whether through personal interest, previous work, or hands-on experience
  • You’re a strong communicator who can build lasting customer relationships
  • You want a career where you can solve real-world problems with real-world tools
  • You're comfortable lifting up to 50lbs and getting in and out of trucks and equipment
  • You have a clean driving record and are willing to obtain a CDL (we’ll sponsor the process)

This is a remote role covering the Southern Maryland region, with regular collaboration and equipment access at our Clinton, MD, branch.

At MATE, you won’t just sell equipment—you’ll help power communities. If you're ready to take your sales skills in a new direction and build something that lasts, we want to hear from you.

Gear up for success. Apply today and let’s move something big—together.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
