Associate, Development Operations

Team Rubicon (TR) is seeking an Associate, Development Operations to join TR's Development team! The Associate, Development Operations to play a key role in executing the day-to-day fundraising operations that power our mission. This position will be responsible for the accurate and timely entry, maintenance, and reconciliation of all gifts and donor data within our donor database. Additionally, this individual will thrive in a fast-paced environment, is driven by precision, and enjoys enabling others to do their best work. With strong attention-to-detail and a customer service mindset, this role enables fundraisers to focus on securing gifts by ensuring data integrity and seamless gift processing.  

Every day will be a challenge, but every month brings new opportunities for an organization that is quickly becoming a household name in disaster response. This position reports to TR’s Manager, Development Operations and is based remote anywhere within the United States.

Duties:

  • Process all incoming gifts, including checks, wires, and donations received through third-party platforms.
  • Issue timely and accurate receipts and acknowledgements to donors.
  • Manage and reconcile third-party platform gifts, ensuring proper donor and gift entry in the donor database.
  • Maintain and clean donor records in the donor database, ensuring consistent and accurate information.
  • Liaise with frontline fundraisers to ensure proper entry of contact, opportunity, and account information.
  • Regularly audit and maintain new and updated donor records, resolving discrepancies as needed.
  • Support the monthly reconciliation process in partnership with the Development Operations and Finance teams.
  • Lead and assist with data cleanup projects that strengthen the accuracy and efficiency of the donor database.
  • Document current and new processes related to this role and provide recommendations for process refinement. 

Education and Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1-3 years of non-profit administrative experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of nonprofit fundraising processes, gift cycles, and the various ways donor’s give in today’s philanthropic landscape
  • Demonstrated proficiency in various fundraising and tech platforms including Microsoft Office Suite / 365
  • Ability to learn new systems & platforms with exceptional analytical skills to enhance efficiency and innovation
  • Adept at handling confidential donor information 

Special Requirements: 

  • This is full-time; REMOTE position and can be based anywhere within the United States and provides a flexible & non-traditional work schedule (relocation expenses not provided)
  • Evening and weekend schedule supporting leadership meetings, video conferences, events, and operations
  • Other Travel: Up to 20% non-local travel required to support site visits and departmental meetings

  • $20.97 - $35.74 per hour
