Associate, Social Media
Team Rubicon (TR) is seeking an Associate, Social Media to join TR's Brand & Communications team! The Associate, Social Media will support and execute TR’s social media strategy, helping to build brand awareness, engage volunteers, and drive donor acquisition. This position will be responsible for managing daily social media activities, monitoring engagement, and ensuring brand consistency across platforms. The Associate, Social Media will work cross-functionally to enhance TR’s digital presence, engage with key audiences, and optimize content performance. This individual must be a detail-oriented, adaptable communicator with experience in social media management, audience engagement, and performance tracking.
Every day will be a challenge, but every month brings new opportunities for an organization that is quickly becoming a household name in disaster response. This position reports to TR’s Director, Brand and is based remote anywhere within the United States.
Duties:
- Manage daily social media operations, including scheduling, posting, and monitoring engagement across platforms.
- Engage with TR’s online community, responding to comments, messages, and mentions in alignment with brand voice and guidelines.
- Track and analyze social media performance, providing insights and recommendations to optimize engagement and reach.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align social content with brand campaigns and key initiatives.
- Identify and engage social influencers, media, and partners, strengthening TR’s digital presence.
- Stay up to date with social media trends, platform updates, and industry best practices to enhance strategy.
- Support crisis communications and rapid-response messaging as needed.
Education and Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field; or equivalent experience
- 2-4 years of experience managing social media accounts for a brand, nonprofit, or organization.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and engagement strategies
- Experience using social media management tools such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or similar platforms
- Proven ability to analyze social media performance and make data-driven recommendations
- Strong writing and communication skills, with experience adapting content for different platforms
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Special Requirements:
- This is a full-time; REMOTE position based anywhere within the United States and provides a flexible & non-traditional work schedule (relocation expenses not provided)
- Other Travel: Up to 20% non-local travel required to support field operations, media events, and organizational storytelling

Pay Range:
- $23.17 - $39.50 per hour
