Principal Developer – SAP BTP / FIORI- Onsite, USA - Contract

* Work Location: This is an onsite role based in either Dallas, TX, or Miramar, FL. A hybrid work arrangement is available, though onsite presence is preferred


The Role:

The Developer’s role involves developing and enhancing in-house software applications, coding with technical languages to meet business objectives. The role includes designing, testing, and maintaining applications, troubleshooting code, and ensuring high-quality development while adhering to company standards. The developer will also mentor junior team members, lead projects, and ensure communication between technical teams and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead large-scale Application Development projects, ensuring holistic, sustainable solutions.
  • Design and implement software solutions while considering the entire system landscape.
  • Research, troubleshoot, and configure software and interfaces.
  • Mentor and coach junior developers, providing guidance on best practices and technical design.
  • Lead meetings, coordinate schedules, and collaborate with business stakeholders.
  • Recommend and evaluate software and hardware products for development.
  • Apply Agile methodologies, lead code reviews, and drive improvements in processes.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and training materials.
  • Identify, mitigate, and communicate risks to stakeholders.
  • Monitor and improve the efficiency and quality of the development team.
  • Serve as a liaison between technical teams and business divisions.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives for both development and business functions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
  • 6+ years in software/application development or similar experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Expertise in software development best practices and methodologies (SDLC, Agile).
  • Experience with complex technology projects and offshore teams.
  • Ability to mentor and develop junior developers.
  • Must have S/4 Implementation with development skills in Logistics. Prefer FIORI development.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience mentoring third-party development teams.
  • Background in Wholesale/Distribution/CPG industries.
  • Familiarity with complex pricing, tax laws, and business processes.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and delivery values.
  • Strong leadership presence, ability to influence and drive team results.
  • Command of integration technologies like APIs, ESB, SAP PI, etc.
  • Experience working on business-critical, large-scale technology projects

Expected Compensation:

  • $70 - 80 USD/ PH
