About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Technical Project Manager with a proven background in sports, events, and ticketing. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing digital projects and ticketing system implementations, bringing a strong understanding of the industry's technical and operational intricacies. This is an exciting opportunity to lead complex, high-impact projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee end-to-end technical project delivery across sports, events, and ticketing domains, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including internal teams, clients, and vendors, to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with business goals and priorities.
  • Lead digital transformation initiatives, with a focus on ticketing platforms, digital experiences, and innovative solutions tailored to the events and sports industry.
  • Create detailed project plans, roadmaps, timelines, and resource allocation, maintaining effective communication throughout project lifecycles.
  • Drive technical solutions for ticketing implementations, integrations, and upgrades, ensuring seamless customer experiences.
  • Facilitate regular project status updates, stakeholder meetings, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Work closely with engineering, design, and digital teams to align technical requirements with creative vision and operational goals.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 8+ years in technical project management, with significant exposure to sports, events, or ticketing industries.
  • Digital Expertise: Background in digital projects or digital agency environments, with a focus on customer experience, ticketing, or related technologies.
  • Ticketing Mastery: Strong knowledge of ticketing platforms and implementation processes; experience managing complex ticketing system rollouts is highly desirable.
  • Leadership: Exceptional team leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical Acumen: Solid understanding of technology stacks, integrations, and project delivery processes.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate complex client and vendor relationships.
  • Location Flexibility: Must be based in NYC or London and available to work in-office three days per week.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced digital agency or similar environment.
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale digital transformation initiatives in the sports or events space.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or similar project management methodologies

Must have: 

  • JIRA, Confluence
  • Scrum framework expert 
  • Reporting on KPI and Critical Success Factors (CSFs) 
  • Ability to put together a process centered around Agile delivery 

Hourly Rate: $105–120/hr  (New York)
