QA Manager - Contractor

The Role: 

We are seeking an experienced QA Manager to lead our software development team's quality assurance initiatives in our Mexico offices. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 5 years in a leadership position managing a team of QA professionals. Advanced expertise in test automation, with proven experience in designing and implementing automated testing frameworks and scripts using tools such as Selenium, Appium, and/or Cypress / Playwright, is also required. The position will require direct interaction with the team on a daily basis.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead the QA team, including hiring, training, and developing team members.
• Define and implement effective quality assurance processes and strategies, ensuring that they align with business goals and objectives.
• Develop and maintain QA metrics to track and report on the effectiveness of quality assurance efforts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, identify risks, and establish testing plans.
• Oversee the creation and execution of manual and automated test scripts using frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, or Cypress / Playwright to ensure quality delivery of software releases.
• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and new testing methodologies.
• Manage and maintain test environments, tools, and infrastructure.

Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in QA 
• Guadalajara preferred location
• Must have a minimum of 5 years in a leadership position managing a team of QA professionals
• Must have advanced expertise in test automation, with proven experience in designing and implementing automated testing frameworks and scripts.
• Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in automation for Web, API and Native Mobile Apps. 
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in software quality assurance, with expertise in both manual and automated testing methodologies.
• Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies, and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop team members.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex software quality issues.
• Experience in developing and implementing QA metrics and reporting to drive continuous improvement.
• Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines for test automation in Jenkins or similar systems.
