Job Description:
As a Senior Consultant supporting our Federal government client, you will work as part of an innovative team to research, prepare, and deliver high-quality solutions. You will be trusted to complete tasks independently, begin leading others in completing tasks, and contribute to the overall team effort to solve challenging problems for the benefit of our customers.
The successful candidate will have the ability to:
- Analyze large, complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, providing actionable insights and recommendations to leadership.
- Perform data mining, cleaning, and aggregation to prepare datasets, implement models, and build databases that support key business decisions.
- Utilize advanced programming, statistical, and analytical techniques to interpret results from both structured and unstructured data sources.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project goals and objectives, ensuring data analysis aligns with broader organizational priorities.
- Design and implement effective, data-driven solutions that add value to the organization’s operations and enhance decision-making.
- Identify innovative ways to apply existing data sources, optimize data processes, and build complex data sets for ongoing analysis.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, public policy, mathematics, engineering or related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in data science, preferably with a focus in government
- Knowledge of Human-Centered Design/Design Thinking, employee experience, customer experience, and/or service design
- Curious and open-minded approach to work
- Strong skills in data analysis, programming, and statistical modeling
- Thrive in a continuous Build-Measure-Learn cycle
- Engage with technology—with comfort and ease (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams, Monday, Slack, etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for presenting insights
- Experience consulting for the Federal government
Job Location and Travel Expectations:
- This position is remote. Some travel (<25%) is anticipated.
- Some meetings will be conducted on-site with customers in Washington, D.C.
