CATMS Manager and Correspondence Editor – Executive Correspondence Office

POSITION OVERVIEW 

Technical Assent is seeking an RPA/UiPath Engineer to support our federal client. This role focuses on building and maintaining software bots, developing and unit-testing automations from design specifications, troubleshooting RPA defects, and deploying components in coordination with program management and IT support teams. 

Responsibilities 

  • Manage CATMS workflows by initiating, routing, tracking, and closing executive taskers while maintaining accurate records of coordination, concurrence, and final disposition.  
  •  Review, edit, and format executive correspondence, including memoranda, reports, briefings, letters, and other senior-level materials, ensuring products meet established Department correspondence standards.  
  • Partner with Action Officers and staff across directorates to clarify requirements, strengthen written products, resolve issues, and prepare correspondence packages for senior-level review.  
  • Monitor and prioritize incoming taskers, identifying time-sensitive actions and coordinating with stakeholders to support timely completion and delivery.  
  • Ensure correspondence packages are complete and properly prepared, including required enclosures, references, classification markings, and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) designations.  
  • Provide guidance on correspondence and staffing processes, helping Action Officers navigate requirements, deadlines, coordination procedures, and CATMS workflows.  
  • Maintain quality and consistency across executive communications, applying sound editorial judgment and ensuring messaging is clear, concise, professional, and appropriate for senior leadership.  
  • Support process improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to improve correspondence workflows, staffing procedures, and task management practices.

QUALIFICATIONS 

Experience & Education Requirements: 

  • Top Secret clearance required. 
  • Must be willing to work on-site up to five (5) days per week.  
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience. 
  • Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in editing, technical writing, executive communications, or a related field within a defense, military, or federal government environment. 
  • Demonstrated experience with CATMS or comparable federal/DoD task management, correspondence, or workflow systems. 
  • Strong understanding of federal or military correspondence standards, staffing procedures, and executive-level communications. 
  • Ability to review complex information, identify gaps or inconsistencies, and recommend improvements to written products, processes, and workflows. 
  • Strong knowledge of professional editing and writing principles, including the ability to produce clear, concise, grammatically correct, and audience-appropriate communications. 
  • Experience coordinating with Action Officers, senior staff, and cross-functional stakeholders in support of time-sensitive requirements. 
  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and correspondence packages simultaneously. 

Work Authorization Requirements: 

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience supporting the Department of War or other DoD organizations, with familiarity working within senior-level staff environments.  
  • Experience supporting boards, committees, senior-level meetings, summits, or other cross-functional engagements.  
  • Familiarity with the DoW Manual for Written Material, Plain Writing Act, and military staff action procedures.
