Senior Consultant – Data & Technology Analysis & Solutions

POSITION OVERVIEW

At Technical Assent, a Senior Consultant (Data & Technology) serves as the critical bridge connecting complex data systems, emerging technologies, and strategic human-centered consulting. Functioning multidisciplinary bridging role, this practitioner translates messy, unstructured operational data and technical architectures into clear, repeatable, and decision-ready insights for federal leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead data and technology analysis initiatives, including discovery, requirements gathering, data assessment, solution design, and implementation planning.
• Apply data science, statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and machine learning methodologies to solve complex client business and operational challenges.
• Design and implement data pipelines, ETL processes, data models, and data quality controls across multi-source data environments.
• Develop and maintain executive-level dashboards, reporting solutions, and data visualizations using tools such as Tableau or Microsoft Power BI.
• Leverage Python, R, SQL, and related technologies to manipulate, analyze, automate, and transform complex datasets.
• Apply NLP, sentiment analysis, AI, and LLM-enabled workflows to transform unstructured text and qualitative research into structured, actionable insights.
• Conduct data architecture and infrastructure assessments, evaluating data sources, schemas, integrations, governance practices, and technology environments.
• Translate qualitative research, stakeholder feedback, and human-centered design findings into measurable KPIs, performance metrics, and analytical frameworks.
• Lead stakeholder interviews, discovery workshops, and co-design sessions to identify root business problems and inform data-driven solutions.
• Develop data-backed recommendations, executive briefings, strategic roadmaps, and other deliverables that support client decision-making and operational improvement.
• Lead cross-functional workstreams, manage project timelines and deliverable quality, and mentor junior consultants and analysts.
• Develop reusable analytics assets, templates, code modules, dashboards, SOPs, and toolkits that strengthen Technical Assent’s delivery capabilities.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing, thought leadership, business development, and proposal activities, including RFIs, technical solutions, and client expansion opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience & Education Requirements:

• Must currently hold or be eligible to obtain a Secret or Top-Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's Degree plus five (5) years of relevant experience, preferably in management consulting, workforce analysis, organizational effectiveness, or operational analysis.
• Strong management consulting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Close vision is required.

Work Authorization Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience with statistical modeling, predictive analytics, machine learning, and/or the CRISP-DM methodology.
• Experience applying NLP, sentiment analysis, generative AI, or LLM workflows to unstructured or qualitative datasets.
• Proficiency with SQL and experience using Python, R, or similar programming languages for data manipulation, automation, and analysis.
• Experience designing ETL pipelines, data models, relational databases, data dictionaries, APIs, and/or data governance frameworks.
• Advanced experience developing business intelligence dashboards and visualizations using
• Experience integrating qualitative research, human-centered design, stakeholder insights, and quantitative analysis to develop measurable KPIs and performance frameworks.
• Experience evaluating enterprise data environments and developing recommendations for data architecture, infrastructure, governance, and modernization.
• Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams, managing workstreams, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring high-quality client deliverables.
• Experience developing reusable analytical tools, methodologies, templates, or other delivery assets within a structured quality or process-improvement framework.
• Experience supporting federal clients, public-sector programs, or large-scale transformation initiatives preferred.
• Experience supporting business development activities, including RFIs, proposals, technical writing, solution development, or client growth initiatives preferred.
