ABOUT THE ROLE
Techno is seeking a Quality Inspector to support quality assurance and quality control activities. This role is responsible for ensuring construction work complies with project specifications, contract requirements, applicable codes, and safety standards. The ideal candidate has strong field experience, excellent documentation skills, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving quality issues on large-scale infrastructure projects.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Perform field inspections of construction activities, materials, and workmanship to verify compliance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Document inspection findings, nonconformances, and corrective actions through detailed reports and logs.
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and project management to address quality issues and verify resolution.
- Review test results, material certifications, and inspection records to ensure adherence to project requirements.
- Support audits, quality meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all quality-related activities align with safety, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of construction inspection or quality control experience on large civil or transportation projects.
- Familiarity with tunneling, heavy civil, or rail infrastructure projects preferred.
- Knowledge of QA/QC procedures, construction standards, and inspection documentation.
- Strong communication, organizational, and reporting skills.
- Ability to work in active construction environments and perform field-based inspections.
- NICET Certification and/or OSHA-10 or OSHA-30 certifications are a plus.

The expected salary range for this role in the New York City Metropolitan Area is $45 - $80 per hour. The total compensation, including salary and bonuses, is determined by various factors such as experience, skill level, location, and qualifications, which are evaluated during the interview process
