ABOUT THE ROLE
Techno is seeking an Inspector to support field inspection activities. This role is responsible for observing and documenting construction work to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, safety requirements, and applicable standards. The ideal candidate has hands-on construction inspection experience and is comfortable working in active, large-scale infrastructure environments.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Perform field inspections of construction activities, materials, and workmanship.
- Verify work is performed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and contract requirements.
- Document daily inspection activities, quantities, and observations in field reports.
- Identify deficiencies or nonconforming work and report findings to project leadership.
- Coordinate with contractors, inspectors, and engineers to support issue resolution.
- Monitor compliance with safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
- Review material deliveries and certifications as required.
- Support testing activities and verification of corrective actions.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 4–6 years of construction inspection experience on civil, transportation, or infrastructure projects
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Familiarity with inspection documentation and reporting procedures
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- NICET certification (Construction Inspection or related discipline) and OSHA certifications preferred.

The expected salary range for this role in the New York Metro Area is $30 - $45 per hour. The total compensation, including salary and bonuses, is determined by various factors such as experience, skill level, location, and qualifications, which are evaluated during the interview process
