ABOUT THE ROLE
Techno is seeking an experienced Inspector to join our team on a major water infrastructure project in the Washington, DC area. This role will support the inspection and oversight of mechanical construction activities related to water and wastewater systems, ensuring installations meet project specifications, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Conduct daily inspections with a focus on water and wastewater equipment, including pumps, piping, valves, and related infrastructure.
- Monitor contractor field activities to ensure compliance with approved plans, technical specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Review and verify installation methods, material usage, and system functionality throughout construction.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, contractors, and project stakeholders to identify and resolve field issues.
- Maintain detailed inspection records, document deficiencies, and provide clear progress updates to project leadership.
- Support testing, startup, and commissioning activities for mechanical systems as required.
- Promote adherence to site safety protocols and contribute to maintaining a safe construction environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience inspecting water or wastewater infrastructure projects is required.
- Basic knowledge of pumps, piping systems, and valves.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Experience with field inspection procedures, quality assurance processes, and construction documentation.
- Familiarity with Oracle Unifier or similar construction management software is preferred but not required.
- OSHA safety training or other relevant certifications are highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary project team

The expected salary range for this role in the Mid-Atlantic Region is $48 - $52 per hour. The total compensation, including salary and bonuses, is determined by various factors such as experience, skill level, location, and qualifications, which are evaluated during the interview process
