ABOUT THE ROLE

Techno is seeking a Project Change Manager to support a major transportation capital program within the NYC metro area. This role will be embedded within a client business unit, working as part of the project management team to lead and enhance change management processes across multiple active projects.

You will play a key role in driving consistency, improving workflows, and ensuring that project changes are effectively evaluated, documented, and executed. This position requires strong coordination across project teams, contractors, and leadership, with a focus on enabling timely decision-making and maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead and coordinate project change management activities across capital program projects
  • Support and enhance change management processes, procedures, and workflows across project teams
  • Provide guidance and support to project managers and stakeholders on change control best practices
  • Review, manage, and track change orders, ensuring proper documentation, approvals, and compliance
  • Attend and contribute to change order meetings with contractors and internal stakeholders
  • Facilitate Project Change Committee (PCC) and Executive Change Committee (ECC) meetings, ensuring alignment and timely decisions
  • Maintain and oversee change order logs, documentation, and record-keeping systems
  • Ensure quality control across procurement packages related to project changes
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement within change management activities
  • Support implementation of established procedures for change management across different delivery methods
  • Promote consistency and understanding of change management processes across project teams


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in project management, project controls, or change management within large infrastructure or capital programs
  • Strong experience with change order management, contract administration, and procurement processes
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and improve change management workflows and team functions
  • Experience supporting transportation or public agency projects such as MTA C&D, LIRR, NYCDDC, PANYNJ, NJ TRANSIT, or similar
  • Strong understanding of project cost controls, risk management, and contingency planning
  • Proven ability to lead meetings, facilitate decision-making, and engage with senior stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy

The expected salary range for this role in the New York City Metropolitan Area is $60 - $85 per hour. The total compensation, including salary and bonuses, is determined by various factors such as experience, skill level, location, and qualifications, which are evaluated during the interview process
