Investor Relations Analyst 

Techstars is seeking an Investor Relations Analyst to join the Investments team. As an Investor Relations Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting all facets of capital raising and ongoing investor relationship management including collateral preparation and maintenance, pipeline management, conferences and roadshows, annual meetings and events, due diligence processes, and bespoke projects and deliverables.

The position requires someone who is detail oriented, with excellent communication, time management, and organization skills, with the ability to make independent decisions regarding the best way to handle and prioritize tasks. The candidate must have the highest integrity, a respect for confidentiality, and demonstrate good judgment. The IR Analyst is expected to be resourceful, reliable, credible and a team player. This position reports to the Director of Investor Relations. 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Create, update and maintain presentations, one-pagers, due diligence questionnaires, and other investor-related and fundraising materials. Help create bespoke materials, as necessary. Ensure consistency and accuracy across the entire suite of materials.
  • Participate in due diligence processes by gathering and organizing information requested by potential investors in partnership with internal subject matter experts. 
  • Coordinate with Finance, Legal, Investment, and Product Strategy teams to ensure timely turn-around and sign off on investor-related requests and any updated information that the Capital Formation & Investor Relations Team may need.
  • Manage the shared LP inbox, triaging incoming communications, responding to inquiries and coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate responses to LP requests, and capturing relevant information in Salesforce.
  • Facilitate distribution of investor materials.
  • Prepare, PDF, watermark and track marketing materials and offering documents. 
  • Collect investor and investment information and support to prepare quarterly, yearly, and ad-hoc communications to investors.
  • Provide organizational, analytical and logistical assistance for investor activities related to prospecting and pipelining (leverage Preqin and other investor databases, as appropriate).
  • Prepare deliverables for investor calls and meetings including dossiers and company descriptions for client meetings (gather critical data and account information for briefing materials). Identify other potential touch points using LinkedIn, Affinity and other contact sources. 
  • Maintain and update investor databases and records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Ensure all contact, background and investor information is accurately reflected in the CRM, ensuring detailed meeting notes and activities are posted in a timely fashion. Work with Finance and Engineering teams to ensure account information is updated in Salesforce and InvestorVision (the LP portal). Evaluate and track prospective investor opportunities across funds via Salesforce.
  • Assist with pipeline reporting and distribute to the team as needed for weekly sales meetings.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of information across Techstars systems.
  • Support the planning and execution of Annual General Meeting, Limited Partner Advisory Committee, LP/prospect events and bespoke initiatives.
  • Support ongoing sales, investor relations, service and communications efforts.
  • Work with internal stakeholders (Finance, Legal, etc.) to field any requests and coordinate meetings, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging market opportunities. Provide market research and insights to support fundraising efforts.
  • Support ad hoc business reviews, board of director meetings and other requests, as needed.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of relevant client support experience in investor relations, private equity, venture capital, investment banking, consulting, or a related financial services field.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing investor communications, reports, and/or presentation materials with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with a process- and solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Strong presentation design skills, with the ability to create clear, visually compelling materials in PowerPoint, Google Slides, or similar tools. Experience working with datasets, pivot tables, and basic data analysis is a plus.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), virtual data rooms, and investor reporting platforms is a plus.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and sound judgment. 

Required Skills, Abilities & Values:

  • Interest in and passion for early-stage investing, entrepreneurship, and tech markets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite. 
  • Strong oral and written communication and analytical skills with demonstrated ability to think critically to ensure high quality and efficient output without sacrificing standards.
  • Very organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Self-starter who responds promptly to internal and external requests.
  • Working knowledge of the financial markets and asset management, preferably with some knowledge of private equity, growth equity and/or venture capital.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory and compliance requirements preferred.

Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000 with 10% bonus
