Senior Manager, Store Operations

Tecovas is looking for a Senior Manager, Store Operations to oversee the daily operations of the business and ensure smooth communication and operations between HQ and store teams. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Retail Operations, you will create and oversee scalable systems, practices, and procedures that enable consistent and branded store operations. As the Senior Manager, Store Operations, you will lead specific subject areas and be responsible for the project management and success of the store operations function. This includes proactive field and HQ partnership, alignment, testing, implementation, and continuous improvement. Ultimately, you will ensure our in store operations are optimized and enabled to provide Radical Hospitality to customers across our growing fleet of stores. 

This role is required to be based in Austin, TX. Candidates must either be currently located in or willing to relocate to Austin, TX.

What you’ll do: 

Leadership & Strategic Execution

  • Lead, coach and develop direct team member(s).
  • Collaborate across departments to advocate for retail priorities and ensure alignment with broader organizational goals.
  • Drive the implementation of retail strategies, initiatives, and programs that support company objectives.

Resource Development & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner cross-functionally to develop scalable policies, procedures, and guides that enhance store operations.
  • Work closely with HQ Communications and Retail Training to create proactive strategies that promote adoption and success in the field, utilizing structured change management practices.

Store Operations Management

Ensure effective day-to-day and long-term performance across all store operational areas, including:

  • Radical Hospitality & Omni Store Operations
    • Oversee programs such as Manager on Duty (MOD), Ship from Store (SFS), Buy Online Pick-up In Store (BOPIS), Clienteling, and Customer Feedback.
    • Design and leverage reporting to communicate and influence in store behaviors that drive improvements across the store fleet.
    • Optimize system capabilities to meet evolving customer, business, and team needs.
  • Workload & Labor Management
    • Develop and communicate fixed workload labor budgets.
    • Act as an advisor on service variable payroll allocations.
    • Oversee retail scheduling systems, including the creation of training materials and best practices that enable stores to staff appropriately and optimize traffic-driven opportunities.
  • Product Operations
    • Ensure seamless product flow into stores through coordination with Central Inventory Management and Allocations.
    • Promote inventory accuracy, create, and maintain standard operating procedures for shipment, markdowns, RFID, and inventory movement.
  • Risk Management & Loss Control
    • Oversee ongoing process for monitoring and addressing possible loss prevention and compliance issues, including chargebacks.
    • Develop and manage tools and programs to identify and mitigate product related risks and losses.
    • Partner with HR to address concerns proactively and as they arise.
    • Lead the Store Compliance Audit program to ensure adherence to operational standards.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelors Degree in retail management, business, or similar field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years retail experience in a HQ/Corporate store operations and/or multi unit management role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication 
  • Experience working cross-functionally
  • Project management experience
  • Working knowledge of retail store platforms, including POS (Shopify), Netsuite, Inventory Management  (RFID), and Project Based Systems (Monday.com) is a huge plus
