Sr Financial Analyst

Tecovas is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to own the corporate financial model, lead Gross Margin and Opex FP&A, and support our treasury and capital planning efforts. The Sr Financial Analyst will play a key role in compiling materials for Senior Leadership and the Board of Directors. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, you will work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment to make data-driven recommendations that improve business performance. 

This role is required to be based in Austin, TX. Candidates must either be currently located in or willing to relocate to Austin, TX.

What you’ll do:

Corporate Model Ownership

  • Maintain and continuously improve the company’s consolidated financial model
  • Update with actual results, refine forecasts, and run scenario/sensitivity analyses
  • Ensure a strong financial posture and proactively identify areas of risk

FP&A: Gross Margin and Opex

  • Lead annual budgeting and forecasting process for Gross Margin and Operating Expenses
  • Collaborate with department heads to understand drivers and identify efficiency opportunities
  • Develop and deliver accurate and timely financial reports and variance analyses
  • Assist in building and refining internal KPIs and dashboarding for stakeholders

Treasury & Capital Planning

  • Monitor cash balances bi-weekly and maintain forward-looking visibility into cash runway
  • Support ad hoc analyses related to capital raising and financing strategies
    Partner with the leadership team to evaluate funding needs and optimize capital structure

Experience we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field
  • 2+ years of investment banking experience strongly preferred
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills (3-statement modeling, valuation, sensitivity/scenario analysis, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance, capital markets, and business fundamentals
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
