Senior Project Coordinator, Retail

Tecovas is looking for a Senior Project Coordinator, Retail, to assist in managing and executing retail projects. Reporting directly to the Senior Project Manager, Retail, you will work with cross-functional teams to ensure projects like new store openings and relocations are completed on time, within budget, and are tailored to ensure a smooth transition for our internal team, store employees, and customers. The Senior Project Coordinator serves as a key liaison between cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless opening experience and successful store launch. In close partnership with the Senior Project Manager, Retail, you will work to facilitate continuous improvement of programs within our retail environment. 

This role is required to be based in Austin, TX, with the ability to work from home and in the office. Candidates must either be currently located in or willing to relocate to Austin, TX. This role will require extended travel to various locations. 

What you’ll do:

  • Partner with Senior Project Manager, Retail to lead new store opening planning and on-site execution
  • Have a thorough understanding of how Tecovas retail stores operate and advocate for our customer experience on all projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams - including Construction, Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Allocations, Store Operations, IT, HR, and external vendors—to manage project progression for a seamless turnover
  • Identify, track and resolve any potential risks, issues, and dependencies and collaborate with respective teams
  • Confidently lead cross-functional status calls to review project tracking, provide project updates, and resolve any issues
  • Effectively prioritize and sequence project deliverables
  • Develop and maintain standardized tools, templates, and processes for store opening management
  • Assist in maintaining store opening playbooks, training materials, and checklists
  • Analyze post-opening results to identify process efficiencies and improvements
  • Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
  • Track purchase orders, invoices, and project budgets; identify potential cost savings or risks
  • Manage logistics for fixture deliveries, signage installation, and merchandising setup
  • Mentor and support field team in project execution and operational standards 
  • Travel to new store opening  locations to assist in the setup process and lead the team to successful execution

Experience we’re looking for: 

  • Experience working in retail stores in a leadership role
  • Proven experience working on large, complex cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of retail store design, construction, or visual merchandising preferred
  • Familiarity with Google apps such as Google Sheets, Google Slides
  • Bonus points for experience with our core communication systems: monday.com, Zipline, Slack
  • Travel required up to 80% of your time via cars, hotels, and planes

  • You are comfortable partnering with cross-functional teams for post project meetings to gather feedback and opportunities, are receptive to feedback, and can execute on the feedback and opportunities
  • You are a lifetime learner and bring curiosity and solutions to everything you do
  • You are a problem solver who is confident in decision-making and bringing solutions to improve the NSO process
  • You are aware of internal and external factors that could impact the project
  • You have the ability to prioritize aspects of a project and ask for assistance when needed
  • You enjoy traveling and bringing the Tecovas spirit to internal teams and our customers
