Store Training Specialist - Internal Opportunity

Tecovas is looking for a Store Training Specialist to help elevate the talent of our retail stores. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Training, you will provide hands-on training to new and existing store teams to strengthen their product knowledge, customer service, operational, and hospitality skills.
This role is required to be based in Austin, TX. Candidates must either reside in the greater Austin area or be willing to relocate/commute to Austin, TX. Must be willing to travel 75% of the time for onsite training.

What you’ll do:
- Travel frequently between stores, including flagships, to support new product categories, training initiatives, and product customization programs
- Support new store openings and market visits as needed to lead team training and facilitate hand-offs with soft opening support
- The majority of time worked is spent in stores, supporting further skill development in product knowledge, customizations, and customer service
- Work closely with all levels of the store team to train and develop their customer service skillset, including product knowledge and customizations
- Partner regularly with Retail Training, the Field Leadership Team, and store-based training leaders
- Gather feedback from training participants and field leaders to assess the effectiveness of existing training programs and identify areas for improvement
- Develop confidence among store-based training leaders by sharing best practices, creating additional resources, and strengthening the Area of Responsibility program
- Outside these core responsibilities, bring new insights and ideas to the team to continue to improve the training function
- Ability and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as assigned
Experience we’re looking for:
- 1-2 years proven retail training experience, applicable degree, or in-store experience preferred
- Clear understanding of retail training principles, product customization techniques, and effective methods for developing team expertise
- Marshall-level Customizations Certification preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to effectively work on cross-functional teams
- Ability to be flexible and problem-solve in the moment
- Travel is required 75% of the time
- Familiarity with Zipline, Monday.com, and Google Workspace is a plus
