THE TEAM:

Tefron’s Design Team is a diverse team of creative and strategic thinkers, who are future thinking, detail-orientated and solution focused. They are passionate about creating purpose-led product for the activewear market base. They are strong communicators who value and develop their cross-functional relationships. IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

  • Design and develop seasonal collections for intimates categories, curating products that reflect market insights and deliver a strong point of view from concept through to final prototype, aligned with customer-targeted price points.
  • Identify global macro trends and analyze comparable markets to uncover whitespace opportunities, product shifts, and emerging or declining silos within bralettes and panties.
  • Keep a finger on the pulse of innovation and newness in sustainable yarns and practices, understanding how these can be leveraged and marketed across Tefron’s product categories and production capabilities.
  • Create detailed sketches and digital renderings that clearly communicate design intent to internal teams and overseas partners.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Production Managers, Technical Design, Sales, and overseas partners to ensure design integrity throughout the development cycle.
  • Prepare and present seasonal trend direction through comprehensive decks that capture research, findings, and product concepts, highlighting market gaps and opportunities for customer presentations both digitally and in person.
  • Participate in fittings and apply design-focused solutions to improve garment performance, construction, and visual appeal.
  • Help mentor and support more junior team members, offering feedback and contributing to team knowledge sharing.
  • Manage workload independently, meeting calendar deadlines and delivering on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to travel for trend research and in-person client meetings.

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 8-10 years industry experience required.
  • BA, BFA or BS in Design required (or equivalent).
  • Comfortable in Adobe Suites platforms.
  • Experience and comfortable working in PLM system.
  • Expert in your technical knowledge and design ability.
  • Expert knowledge of the U.S. apparel industry landscape, with focus on activewear brands and retailers; knowledge of intimates a plus.
  • Razor sharp attention to detail around product/process so that we build beautiful technical apparel. You have a clear understanding of function and how to embed style, beauty and fashion where needed. Finding a balance in the product.
  • An understanding in 3D design, an asset.
  • Have strong comprehension of market analytics to better understand how lines and garments are performing in the market.
  • You can work independently and continuously innovate to achieve great results.
  • Must have a valid passport.
