WFAA is looking for an Ensemble Anchor to own traffic in one of the country’s fastest growing, diverse and most exciting markets. Traffic is a big reason people watch our morning show, knowing the roads and the backways to get around big congestion should be your mission each day. In this role you are also a storyteller and will contribute to our robust calendar of unique and original content.
Our show is an audience focused experience where engagement is key, and being apprised of the latest developments in news and trending social topics would make you a great fit.
You’ll be part of an all-star ensemble on our reimagined morning show, lending an edge to top trending stories, pop culture, and rocking and rolling across multiple screens all morning long. You’ll also turn long-form community-oriented stories with our NPPA award-winning photojournalists with a goal of establishing a franchise that merges community interests with those of your own to serve our broad and diverse audience.
It's a four-part mission • Use our wealth of traffic tools and technology to guide our viewers through Dallas-Fort Worth’s bustling morning commute. • Engage and excite our consumers and followers across every screen • Embrace your authenticity as part of a great team *Immerse yourself in community to represent what they need from WFAA
We’re looking for a self-starter who is fulfilled by collaborating with a team to connect with our neighbors across a large metropolitan area. You will be very active in the community at events and bring that knowledge base to our coverage on all platforms.
The ideal candidate does not shy away from technology but embraces it to differentiate their reports from the rest of the market. Pivoting and adlibbing should be a super skill. If you’re a reporter who knows their way around continuous coverage looking for a change, this could be a good fit.
