KREM-TV is hiring an experienced broadcast and OTT advertising Account Executive! We are constantly committed to innovation with state-of-the-art marketing solutions offering endless opportunities for our clients to thrive from linear TV to digital video, OTT, and advanced attribution tactics.

Responsibilities: You will be part of a team of successful advertising sellers and account managers, who manage high-volume account lists, and are passionate about helping their clients thrive. You will be responsible for growing revenue and share by effectively negotiating, packaging and recommending solutions that utilize our broadcast and digital assets.

What You Will Do:

  • Consistently prospect for new revenue opportunities using client and category insights
  • Upsell current customers by engaging them in the full product line of offerings
  • Create custom solutions-driven campaigns that meet client needs across multiple media platforms including broadcast, digital and Streaming (OTT)
  • Seek opportunities to expand relationships with key clients by taking an active role in understanding their business needs and competitive landscape
  • Establish strong relationships with internal team members by providing account management team with clear and concise direction for successful execution of campaigns
  • Make decisions and solve problems independently to support customer needs
  • Utilize an Account Manager to provide exceptional customer service and contract fulfillment
  • Consistent use of CRM to manage the day-to-day activity, pipeline and forecasts

What You Need:

  • Minimum 3 years of account engagement in a professional, fast-paced media or outside sales environment
  • Internal drive to achieve personal best everyday
  • Fiercely competitive
  • Has high values and integrity and sets high standards
  • Is committed to a long-term career in sales
  • Proven track record of success as a seller
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines

  • Position requires strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong organization and time management skills
  • Is positive and resilient and bounces back from setbacks quickly
  • Self-motivated and willingness to work as a team player are essential attributes
  • Strong business acumen is a must
  • Understanding of ComScore and Nielsen ratings methodology a plus

Pay Range

$45,000 - $90,000 USD

Benefits: 

TEGNA offers comprehensive benefits designed to safeguard the physical, mental and financial health of our employees and their families. TEGNA offers two medical plan options for full and part-time employees through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, as well as access to dental and eye care coverage; fertility, surrogacy and adoption assistance; disability and life insurance.

Our 401(k) program offers full, part-time and temporary employees the opportunity to contribute 1% - 80% of their pay on a pre-tax basis to TEGNA’s 401(k). Contributions made up to the first 4% of pay are eligible for a 100% match from the company and are 100% vested from day one.

Regardless of participation in TEGNA medical plans, ALL employees and their eligible family members receive nine free virtual doctor’s appointments with a physician through Teladoc, and 12 free annual therapy sessions with a licensed clinician through Spring Health.

TEGNA offers a generous Paid Time Off (PTO) benefit as well as nine paid holidays per year.
