WTOL 11 - Toledo, a TEGNA Company, has an exciting opportunity for an Account Executive to join our solution-focused, dynamic and forward-thinking sales team.  The ideal candidate will showcase his or her strategic and outside sales expertise by building collaborative relationships and providing customer solutions through an integrated suite of media platforms, including television, digital, OTT and other emerging products. 

This a true “hunter”, in-demand position requires an energetic and strategic entrepreneur who will champion WTOL 11 in the local market. As an Account Executive, you’ll use a consultative selling approach to build relationships with business and you’ll have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to sell a broad set of solutions from our extensive market-leading portfolio, such as:

  • Television commercials and sponsorships
  • Steaming Television Platforms (OTT)
  • Display & Online Video Networks

What You’ll Do?

  • Achieve all revenue goals on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Develop a pipeline of new business through consistent and creative prospecting
  • Able to demonstrate product knowledge and value to prospects and customers
  • Possess a deep understanding of local and regional business trends
  • Collaborate with a Media Strategist to develop strategic recommendations and proposals
  • Utilize an Account Manager to provide exceptional customer service and contract fulfillment
  • Use Matrix to manage day to day activity, pipeline and forecasts

What You Need?

  • Minimum 3-5 years of traditional media, digital marketing or business to business sales experience
  • Must be a self-starter with a documented record of exceeding revenue goals with integrated marketing solutions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-based sales environment, strong digital sales acumen
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Matrix and WideOrbit experience a plus
  • A valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record, as well as reliable transportation and proof of insurance
