We are seeking a QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a QA Engineer, you will collaborate closely with developers and leads to understand, scope out, and execute test cases, ensuring our products meet the highest quality standards. Your attention to detail and proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues will be key to our success.
This is a full-time, remote position.
Responsibilities:
- Transform business requirements into comprehensive functional test cases that meet all acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with developers and other teams to define testing requirements and strategies for new features.
- Ask insightful questions to fully understand product needs and develop effective tests.
- Identify any missing requirements and work with development and product teams to address them.
- Detect bugs, document reproduction steps, and work with product and development teams to prioritize and resolve issues.
- Retest and confirm bug fixes in collaboration with developers.
- Produce detailed test results and status reports.
- Expand and maintain the regression test suite to ensure ongoing product quality.
Requirements:
- Basic understanding of the QA process.
- Experience with Jira is a plus.
- Experience with QA automation.
- Previous experience in software testing and troubleshooting.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies as needed.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new technologies.
- Strong communication skills for effective team collaboration.
- Team-oriented and able to adapt swiftly to changing business and customer demands.
- A strong passion for quality and software excellence.
Pay Range
$60,000 - $65,000 USD

Our 401(k) program offers full, part-time and temporary employees the opportunity to contribute 1% - 80% of their pay on a pre-tax basis to TEGNA’s 401(k). Contributions made up to the first 4% of pay are eligible for a 100% match from the company and are 100% vested from day one.
Regardless of participation in TEGNA medical plans, ALL employees and their eligible family members receive nine free virtual doctor’s appointments with a physician through Teladoc, and 12 free annual therapy sessions with a licensed clinician through Spring Health.
TEGNA offers a generous Paid Time Off (PTO) benefit as well as nine paid holidays per year.
