We are seeking a Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support existing applications, develop new ones, and improve workflows within TEGNA. If you love learning new technologies and working in a collaborative environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
This is a full-time, remote position.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and product/business managers to develop new features aligned with the product roadmap while adhering to coding standards.
- Investigate and resolve product issues as a key resource.
- Build, deploy, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
- Pay meticulous attention to detail.
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.
- Quickly learn and absorb new technologies.
- Be a strong team player and rapidly adapt to changing business and customer demands.
- Work on both the backend and UX parts of an application.
Requirements:
- Proficient with .NET Core, C#, MVC framework, JSON, and working with APIs.
- Strong skills in JavaScript.
- Experience building and/or interfacing with RESTful APIs.
- Experience with programming and troubleshooting.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and frameworks as needed.
- Understanding of fundamental design principles behind scalable applications.
- Teamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude.
- Experience working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases is a plus.
- Experience developing for and on cloud-based systems is a plus, but not required.
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks like React or Angular is a plus.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is a plus.

Pay Range
$70,000 - $75,000 USD

TEGNA offers two medical plan options for full and part-time employees through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, as well as access to dental and eye care coverage; fertility, surrogacy and adoption assistance; disability and life insurance.
Our 401(k) program offers full, part-time and temporary employees the opportunity to contribute 1% - 80% of their pay on a pre-tax basis to TEGNA’s 401(k). Contributions made up to the first 4% of pay are eligible for a 100% match from the company and are 100% vested from day one.
Regardless of participation in TEGNA medical plans, ALL employees and their eligible family members receive nine free virtual doctor’s appointments with a physician through Teladoc, and 12 free annual therapy sessions with a licensed clinician through Spring Health.
TEGNA offers a generous Paid Time Off (PTO) benefit as well as nine paid holidays per year.
