We are looking for a creative, driven, and organized Community and Marketing Strategist to join our team and help build deeper connections with our partners, audience, and community. The Community and Marketing Strategist will play a key role in driving engagement and revenue by managing sponsored content, community events, sponsored events, and strategic integrations. This position will support both paid and unpaid partnerships while ensuring partner deliverables align seamlessly with our brand voice and community goals. The ideal candidate is a collaborative and strategic thinker who excels at relationship-building, project management, and creative storytelling.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in marketing, partnerships, community engagement, sponsored content or content digital strategy
- Proven ability to manage sponsored content and event partnerships from ideation to execution.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience analyzing campaign/event data and reporting on performance metrics.
- Proficiency with marketing tools, CMS platforms, and social media management systems.
- Passion for local media, storytelling, and building strong community connections.
Key Responsibilities:
Sponsored Content & Partnerships
- Develop and manage sponsored content campaigns, ensuring they meet client goals and resonate with our audience.
- Collaborate with the editorial and sales teams to create content plans that integrate paid partnerships without compromising editorial integrity.
- Oversee the production and distribution of sponsored articles, videos, and social media content.
- Analyze campaign performance metrics and provide reports with insights and recommendations for partners.
Community and Sponsored Events
- Lead planning, promotion, and execution of both community-driven and sponsored events (virtual and in-person), ensuring successful turnout and engagement.
- Serve as the key point of contact for event sponsors, aligning event deliverables with their business objectives.
- Identify opportunities for event integrations, including speaking engagements, branded activations, and community collaborations.
- Track event budgets, timelines, and logistics to deliver high-quality events on time and within scope.
Partnerships & Integrations
- Manage the fulfillment of paid partnerships, ensuring all deliverables—from sponsored content to events—are executed to the highest standard.
- Collaborate with unpaid community partners to enhance brand visibility and strengthen local relationships.
- Identify and cultivate new opportunities for local business integrations and sponsorship packages.
- Develop creative, tailored solutions for partners that add value for both our audience and advertisers.
Marketing & Audience Engagement
- Support audience development strategies by promoting key initiatives, events, and content across multiple channels.
- Craft messaging for community outreach campaigns, ensuring clear, compelling, and consistent communication.
- Engage with the community through social media, newsletters, and other platforms to foster long-term relationships.
- Monitor trends in local media, marketing, and community engagement to stay ahead of opportunities and challenges.
