TEGNA is seeking a creative and driven Sr. Marketing Designer to join our dynamic Growth Marketing team. In this full-time role, you will play a central part in shaping and executing TEGNA's marketing vision, focusing on building and elevating our brand presence across various digital and traditional platforms. You will design high-quality, impactful creative assets paid and organic marketing campaigns, promoting TEGNA’s digital apps and services.
As a key member of the team, you will collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure our marketing materials align with brand guidelines, engage audiences, and support key business goals. From social media assets to campaign visuals and internal communications, your work will directly impact how TEGNA connects with its viewers and digital audiences.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the design and production of paid and organic marketing assets across multiple platforms, including CTV, social media, email, websites, video, and more.
• Collaborate closely with the Growth Marketing, Product Marketing, and Creative teams to develop visual content that aligns with TEGNA’s strategic goals.
• Design innovative and engaging content for digital campaigns, including display ads, social media posts, and in-app experiences.
• Maintain and enhance TEGNA’s brand identity by refining design guidelines, ensuring consistent and cohesive visuals across all marketing materials.
• Stay ahead of design trends and explore new techniques to keep TEGNA’s marketing materials fresh and engaging for our audience.
• Ensure all creative assets align with brand standards and convey a unified message across owned and paid channels.
• Actively participate in brainstorming sessions to create new, impactful visual concepts for marketing campaigns.
• Continuously optimize designs based on feedback, performance metrics, and industry trends.
Responsibilities:
• 5+ years of experience in brand and marketing design, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in digital and traditional marketing collateral.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and other relevant software.
• Proficiency using AI tools to scale creative production in resource constrained environments.
• Experience in creating content for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.), digital advertising, and email campaigns.
• A deep understanding of how design and brand aesthetics can support marketing objectives and drive engagement.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with different teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality design standards.
• Knowledge of current design trends and emerging technologies, with a passion for exploring new techniques.
• A proactive, solutions-oriented approach to design with a focus on results and creative problem-solving.
Location: This full-time role is based in New York with flexibility for remote work. TEGNA operates a hybrid work environment, and employees in the New York area may be encouraged to work in-office a few days per week.
Pay Range
$32 - $62.50 USD

Our 401(k) program offers full, part-time and temporary employees the opportunity to contribute 1% - 80% of their pay on a pre-tax basis to TEGNA’s 401(k). Contributions made up to the first 4% of pay are eligible for a 100% match from the company and are 100% vested from day one.
Regardless of participation in TEGNA medical plans, ALL employees and their eligible family members receive nine free virtual doctor’s appointments with a physician through Teladoc, and 12 free annual therapy sessions with a licensed clinician through Spring Health.
TEGNA offers a generous Paid Time Off (PTO) benefit as well as nine paid holidays per year.
