WHAS11, the TEGNA-owned ABC affiliate in Louisville, KY, is seeking a passionate and creative Multi-Skilled Journalist to join our lifestyle program, Great Day Live.

We’re looking for a smart, driven professional who excels at storytelling and can connect the Kentuckiana community with the businesses, non-profits, and professionals who serve them. The ideal candidate understands how to create compelling content for broadcast, digital platforms, and social media that drives engagement and builds brand trust.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the sales department and clients to develop compelling, high-quality segments that promote their business or product while creating great television.
- Shoot, write, and edit client-friendly, engaging segments for air and online.
- Develop client ideas into stories for Great Day Live and WHAS11+ App
- Use the latest photography and editing tools to enhance storytelling.
- Deliver live and recorded content in a dynamic, authentic, and accurate way.
- Pitch and plan future content in coordination with producers and team members.
- Write and post content daily across digital and social platforms.
- Source and create original stories through independent research and social listening.
- Produce creative and engaging live shots that drive audience interest.
- Knowledge of ENPS, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, and Axis graphics is a plus.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Requirements:
- 1–3 years of experience as a multi-skilled journalist or similar role.
- Bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in photojournalism, video editing, and content management systems.
- Strong interpersonal and client-facing communication skills.
