We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Automation QA Engineer 1 to join our QA team. This role is ideal for someone early in their automation career who wants to build strong foundations in test automation, scripting, and quality engineering practices. You will work alongside experienced QA engineers and developers to ensure high-quality software releases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and maintenance of automated test scripts using Java.
- Execute and maintain automated UI and API tests using Selenium, REST Assured.
- Log and track defects, analyze test results, and provide test status reports.
- Collaborate with developers and QA team members to understand product requirements and contribute to test planning.
- Learn and apply testing best practices, frameworks, and tools.
- Support the QA team in manual testing when required.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in QA or software testing.
- Basic knowledge of Java programming.
- Familiarity with UI automation tools like Selenium.
- Exposure to API testing using tools like Postman or REST Assured.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in the automation space.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
